Last week it was reported that the FCC is investigating CBS’s deceptively edited 60 Minutes interview with former Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

President Trump’s FCC Chair Brendan Carr demanded that CBS hand over the unedited transcript of the infamous ’60 Minutes’ interview with Kamala Harris.

On Wednesday, the FCC released an unedited, raw version of Harris’s ’60 Minutes’ interview.

Hold on, you only think the FCC regulates content if you get your information from FReepers. It has no authority to do so and it does NOT. FCC can enforce decency standards which is why you can’t say **** on broadcast media, but it has absolutely no control over cable TV content (or anything online). Other than a few speech constraints the FCC does NOT censor broadcast content.

FCC could use reform, like getting back to where it hires actual engineers instead of beancounters and lawyers but if it tries to do censorship there will be massive pushback from all sides.

The Democrats have spent decades perfecting the art of illusion—polished speeches, carefully curated soundbites, and the ever-present teleprompter shielding their fragile minds from the horrors of spontaneity.

Strip away the handlers, the speechwriters, and what’s left?

A mess of half-formed thoughts, nervous stammering, and the occasional horrifying moment of truth. That’s what America needs to see—raw, unedited, unfiltered. Let Harris, Biden, Obama, and every other Democrat politician spill their guts without a safety net.

I'm with FReeper Jim W N on this one. First Amendment rights shouldn't be so casually ignored.

As for the Commerce Clause argument from Article I, if it's as MNJohnnie states, that it includes regulating broadcast media because it crosses state lines (I don't agree with that premise, but I'll play that argument), then the 1st Amendment coming after that trumps commerce clause. Thus, if the two constitutional arguments clash, the later abrogates the former. The Bill of Rights (1st Amendment) were ratified after the original Constitution was (Article I).

shouldn’t this be counted as election fraud?

or at least a campaign contribution, requiring equal time for Trump

Apparently you buy the Leftist mindset that mere mention of “interstate commerce” is a bell-ringer for unlimited federal regulation.

A proper application of the Constitution is AS WRITTEN AND ORGINALLY UNDERSTOOD AND INTENDED.

As the Federalist Papers and other founding publications show, the Commerce Clause (CC) was intended to remove barriers to commerce between states. Period. That is all.

The CC is one of several clauses the Left has wrested to make the federal gov’t totalitarian and the Right has stupidly stood on the sidelines applauding.

You lost this argument in the 1920s and 30s. The Fed Courts do not agree with your feelings. Unlike you, their opinion in this matter is Constitutionally binding

The FCC does more than keep dirty words from being broadcast to the nation.

The FCC manages the broadcast frequency spectrum and rebands the frequency use as technology changes.

Obviously, the discovery of radio waves happened long after the drafting of the Constitution. However, the interstate commerce clause and the "necessary and proper" clause could cover the need for a communications agency to oversee the use of the radio wave spectrum, both in designating frequency ranges for the different technologies, and in ensuring that those ranges are being used properly and approriately.

Well too bad for you the US Courts ruled on this issue about 100 years ago and your opinion lost

So nice you have opinions about the US Constitution but unfortunately those feeling carry no weight.

Only democrats found themselves in a position to have to buy political support from media outlets. Really. Think about that for a minute. You steal an election, then command and control going Forward gets very expensive and becomes a recurring expenditure growing every day.

Were talking Dunning-Kruger kinda smart.

Just a reminder, something I have been saying since I first heard Kackling Kamala speak 5+ years ago:

Word Salad is considered virtually pathognomonic for schizoafffective disorders, e.g. - disorganized schizophrenia, aka “hebephrenic schizophrenia” which as a medical professional, were I asked, I would say she has some degree of (it’s NOT an all-or-nothing living out of a shopping cart babbling street psycho existence if caught and medicated early enough in life).

That is all.

The Constitution is supreme over the U.S. Courts (Art. VI, Cl. 2).
