I hope McConnell can be propped up until the 2026 elections so that we don’t have to test this law in court. Recent judicial decisions for the most part have not been on our side.

What’ll happen when a Republican is governor?

Well, really the state legislature should pick the senators...but that will require a repeal of the 17th amendment.

There should be a provision in the law that would prevent the current sitting governor from running for the Senate seat.

Great day....

but stupid and unnecessary lie:

“supporters said was unrelated to recent scrutiny about the health of the state’s senior senator, Republican leader Mitch McConnell.”

Just tell the truth people.

It is about McConnell because the guy could collapse again tomorrow like he did today.

Telling the truth is not that difficult.

It can even be fun!

“ Special election. No Governor necessary.........”
******************************************

This is old news…. but GOOD NEWS. From skimming the article I didn’t see WHO SCHEDULES THE SPECIAL ELECTION. If it’s the governor there’s still room for ‘RAT shenanigans from the ‘RAT governor.

“The GOP supermajority Legislature easily overrode Gov. Andy Beshear’s veto of the measure.”

The “great Democrat hope” Beshear has a GOP supermajority to deal with...

You can’t make up this stuff.

Stupid Beshear got in because of the unions- mostly the teacher’s union. Kentucky is a red state except for Louisville.
