Our founders intended for us to have a very small, very limited federal government. Instead, we have the largest and most bloated government in the entire history of the world. So we should all be glad that someone is finally attempting to get it under control. For far too long, ultra-powerful government agencies have been running around doing whatever they want and making our lives miserable in the process. Congress has been able to exercise very little control over these monstrosities, and their leaders had little fear of ever being held accountable for their actions. But thanks to Donald Trump and Elon Musk, a day of reckoning has arrived.
I honestly did not think that Trump and Musk were going to be able to accomplish so much in such a short period of time.
Look at what they just did to USAID. It has been operating without any sort of real accountability for decades, but it took Musk just a single weekend to feed it “into the wood chipper”…
We spent the weekend feeding USAID into the wood chipper.
Could gone to some great parties.
Did that instead.
USAID’s reign of terror is finally over.

Thank God Almighty.
We were a centimeter away from this monster devouring us.
Must be divine intervention.
Even if the predictions of chaos are accurate, chaos is certainly preferable to corruption. And we’ve had more than our share of the latter.
Ya know, I kinda think our Creator doesn’t get involved a whole lot because then free will wouldn’t come into play as much.
If the Good Lord gave us much of what we wanted, then we would never be tested.
But some things just don’t make sense without Divine Intervention, I think.
Ths deep state was supposed to be incredibly formiddable and would stop at nothing.
Like the USSR.
Yet it is falling pretty quickly without much of a fight.
Or maybe I’m missing something.
What the heck was my point? :)
Oh yes, I do think the Good Lord intervenes when enough good men do enough right things...or vice versa.
Yer right.
This is a God thing.
Maybe you’re right, in which case our apparent retreat from communism was...... a once-in-world-history event?
I don’t know what the odds were, but boy have we lucked out.
For the next four years at least.
Yes.
I almost don’t believe what I’m seeing and hearing and reading.
I thought Trump would take office, make a few moves, the deficit would grow at 1.5 trillion a year instead of 2 and then four years would be up..with some very good changes along the way.
I NEVER expected this.
I was 20 when The Great One (Ronald Reagan) made that ridiculous speech!!
The USSR falling...the WALL falling!!. Whatever. It was a cool thing to say. It could never happen.
Man, now I’m depressed how little faith I have :(
Maybe it’s time to darken the pages of a Bible with my shadow! :)
Believe me, of all the people on this board, I have the fewest answers.
I am the king of doubters.
Even in the face of the obvious..from the survived shooting attempt to all of this...just wow.
You sounds like a true believer and I am glad for you.
If things are moving that fast, I need to get things right!
It does kinda have that feel, doesn’t it? It’s as if we’ve been drawn away from the very gates of Hell.
The government needs to be small enough to where it can get its act together.
It is absolutely Gods will. From the assasination near miss to Nov 6 to today. If Trump had won in 2020 (which he did) we would’ve had Pence?
Chaos. That’s what demons say when light invades their lives. For the Righteous, it’s Peace and Tranquility.
It just looks like chaos. What it is is, draining the swamp and revealing the mess at the bottom, all the slimey swamp creatures reacting in fear and rage.
Government needs to be as small, local, and accountable as possible.
Our federal government should be no more than a fifth the size it is now.
Just like Trump in Butler.
It is what we voted for: Drain the Swamp!
bttt
A few things for you to consider:
—you are not alone in doubt and questioning. Christ Jesus taught his disciples about this the day he calmed the storm. He also knows that doubt is part of our original sin and loves you just the same.
—God often does not come in grand events although once in a while He does. But God is ever present and ever speaking most often in just a whisper. The questions is are we listening.
—the Holy Scripture tells us that all things work together to the glory of God. It seems you are seeing and believing. Connecting the dots between events is discernment. This is a crucial part of free will. God has created us with discernment and logic so we can see and make connection. Lots of people get hung up on free will, which we have. But free will flows from discernment. It’s just those who don’t believe are unable to discern. When people come to faith and only you can know this in your heart because it is a personal relationship between you and God, it is often said as the opening of the eyes. Sounds to me like this is happening in your life.
—faith is not the hope of God intervening, faith is the deeply personal relationship between you and God who created you, redeemed you, and sanctified you. From this deeply personal relationship flows the discernment of that God is omnipresent and with you to “the very end of the age” and in this relationship you discover the “peace that passes understanding” and from this flows the ability to love even those most challenging to you. It is this love (agape) by which others can see and know you to be faithful
—Christianity is the only faith that I know of in which the faith in you is recognized not in the evangelization of it or your proclamation of it, but they will know you by your love. It is a daily and living example.
~I will keep you in my prayers as you walk this journey that is awakening in you and that you be strengthened in your faith and that Gods presence in your life is revealed to you in His way for you and that you hear His loving call. You are not alone in joy or in struggle in faith or in doubt, God perfectly understand you for he formed you uniquely and all of us I believe but I can say with absolute truth that I have struggled with doubt and sorrow and heard His call just as I believe He is calling to you now.
You wrote all that for me? Who am I to deserve such an in depth (and IMHO incredibly ingelligent and coherent) response.
I’m an out of shape 56 year old Staten Islander whose best days are FAR behind him :)
What you wrote made me feel like I still matter...to Jesus..and others.
You have a gift for writing...and I am deeply touched.
Trust me, when the Good Lord said “the least of my brethren” he was talking about me! :)
I saved your post to reread. It’s unlike anything else I come across very often at all.
thank you
