JD Vance’s moving, and uniquely American journey from the hills of Appalachia to the halls of power in Washington, DC, has been beautiful to watch.
Vance has been very public and honest about the struggles he faced growing up with his mother, who was an addict. His book, Hillbilly Elegy, was turned into a movie that portrayed the raw realities of the struggle many American families face.
Vance’s mother proudly beamed as her son was sworn into office.
Speaker Mike Johnson shared a touching video of VP Vance stepping into the Oval Office for the first time.

Hopefully it’ll be either his office or Ron DeSantis’ in January 2029.
Like Ben Carson, JD Vance is an authentic American story. No wonder he drives the Alt Left nuts. His life gives the lie to every one of their political dogmas about the need for “Big Government”
I ordered an audio version of Vance’s book via amazon only to find that I had to sign up for some crap service from amazon.
Complete waste of money and I didn’t get to read or hear his story. Similar thing happened with football and prime. Seems everyone wants an IV line to your wallet.
Yes. I was not happy with the football experience at all.
Sorry that happened to you.
Try thriftbooks.com....it may be too early and if it’s there, probably at a premium but no marketing will be done....I buy used books from there $4-$5 a book - I don’t order anything that’s more but there are higher prices so maybe you’ll luck out!
There’s one for $15.99 and great demand for it - not available...
Sorry - $15.33
I’m really impressed with him. He’s truly genuine, a rare quality these days. His wife was inspiring by just how proud she was for her husband, genuine love right there, even rarer!
We shall see how he does, based on what I’ve seen he may well be best suited for that desk after President Trump. God speed to the entire administration, they’re going to do great.
We were very fortunate as we had three different West Wing tours during Trump’s first term. To see the Oval Office and understand the history from John John Kennedy playing under his father’s desk to Nixon resigning. We were in the Oval Office waiting room & took my son over to a mirror and we straightened our ties and commented about how many foreign dignitaries, former presidents etc. had used that mirror before going in to meet the President.
My son’s trying to get another tour when we go out in March.
In a stirring moment in the Hillbilly Elegy movie, produced *before* JD ventured into politics, his grandmother played by Glen Close tells the troubled boy, “You have to decide whether you want to be somebody.”
Well, he succeeded. In a huge way.

Here’s a free copy for you.
My name is J.D. Vance, and I think I should start with a confession: I find the existence of the book you hold in your hands somewhat absurd. It says right there on the cover that it’s a memoir, but I’m thirty-one years old, and I’ll be thefirst to admit that I’ve accomplishednothing great in my life, certainly nothing that would justify a complete stranger paying money to read about it.
Thank you much. I ordered a hard copy last night!
I failed to get this link to you last night - I sent it to myself. You’ll find Hillbilly Elegy for $5.33 - there is a demand for it so none others are available. Does it have to be audio?
It’s been an interesting journey!
Thought I ordered a copy of ‘Hillbilly’ from amazon but failed to check out! The link you sent now had a copy for $8 which is on the way. Thanks again.
