I ordered an audio version of Vance’s book via amazon only to find that I had to sign up for some crap service from amazon.
Complete waste of money and I didn’t get to read or hear his story. Similar thing happened with football and prime. Seems everyone wants an IV line to your wallet.
Yes. I was not happy with the football experience at all.
Sorry that happened to you.
Try thriftbooks.com....it may be too early and if it’s there, probably at a premium but no marketing will be done....I buy used books from there $4-$5 a book - I don’t order anything that’s more but there are higher prices so maybe you’ll luck out!
re: “... I didn’t get to read or hear his story.”
Here’s a free copy for you.
My name is J.D. Vance, and I think I should start with a confession: I find the existence of the book you hold in your hands somewhat absurd. It says right there on the cover that it’s a memoir, but I’m thirty-one years old, and I’ll be thefirst to admit that I’ve accomplishednothing great in my life, certainly nothing that would justify a complete stranger paying money to read about it.
I failed to get this link to you last night - I sent it to myself. You’ll find Hillbilly Elegy for $5.33 - there is a demand for it so none others are available. Does it have to be audio?
