I was out somewhere in remote New Mexico with a guy who had one. A wasp kept tormenting us. It landed on a sagebrush, and he aimed and shot it.
Cut it in half with a 22.
The thing IS accurate.
I know I’m going to catch hell for this, but $870 for a 22lr revolver?
Wait, I take that back. He had a 44 Anaconda with him. But he did the shot with a 90s model Smith and Wesson 22 kit gun revolver.
Cut that wasp in half.
It’s vulgar to discuss the price of a gun. And if your wife asks, you traded for it!
Midway USA ad, honey, many guns does a man need, answer was one more
A man should answer that he needs more guns because of all the ammo he has stacked up.
Sticker shock here, but I was watching a video on you tube yesterday about guns to avoid, and was thinking that there is a market for cheap Saturday Night Specials.
I was thinking the same thing.. For that much, I could at LEAST get a 9mm (I prefer .45 though).
I love revolvers.
Before they sank in to a lake the Ruger 10/22 rifle and Ruger Mark 2 were my favorite plinkers. I like the revolvers but for the weight of them with limited shots is a bit too heavy for an all day hike.
I want this in .22WMR.
Pretty high. I’ll just shoot 38spc in my model 19.
People sometimes ask me what first gun they should buy. I always recommend a Ruger Mark I, II, III, IV, whatever they can find. I know the old received wisdom about semi autos jam and revolvers dont. So what? Eventually they will buy a gun in a more potent chambering and it’ll likely be a semiauto. Learning to deal with the rare jam is part of learning to shoot. I’ve had my Ruger for forty or more years and may have had a stovepipe once or twice but I don’t buy junk ammo.
I never met anyone who regretted buying and owning a Ruger Mark .22
Anaconda’s are nice. I sold mine when I went to a fewer number of calibers.
I regret not buying three or four of them when the price was low!
You won't be catching any hell from me. If only somebody would bring back the H&R 999 at a comparable price point for what it sold for back in the day, I'd buy two.
I always told my wife you never know what happens in a dark safe when rifles are placed next to each other. I swear they are like rabbits.
Bidenflation.
