The awards-bait movie Conclave just received a big thumbs-down from Megyn Kelly, who called it “the most disgusting anti-Catholic film I have seen in a long time.”
Megyn Kelly tore into Conclave in a X post on early Sunday, revealing the movie’s major plot twist that the new pope is intersex — an individual who has both male and female reproductive organs.
“Just made the huge mistake of watching the much-celebrated ‘Conclave’ & it is the most disgusting anti-Catholic film I have seen in a long time. Shame on Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci & John Lithgow for starring in it & shame on director Edward Berger (among others),” she wrote.
She later added: “I’m disgusted. What a thing to release to streaming just in time for Christmas. They would never do this to Muslims, but Christians/Catholics are always fair game to mock/belittle/smear.”
Conclave, which was released by Focus Features, is one of the best picture frontrunners at Sunday’s Golden Globes awards and is also expected to perform well when the Academy Award nominations are announced this week.
Based on the Robert Harris novel, Conclave dramatizes the internal power struggles in the Vatican over the selection of a new pope. Ralph Fiennes stars as a cardinal put in charge of running the papal conclave.
The intersex plot twist has sparked much discussion online, with various viewers claiming that it feels random, nonsensical, and an attempt to be woke.

I was so disgusted. They have to work it in. Somehow. Some way. I stopped watching network television back in the late Nineties, and I haven’t missed anything, and nothing has changed except they are even worse now.
Along with “The Da Vinci Code”.
Oh yeah, that 1923 puts the blood libel out there of the Canadian Catholic school death camps. Just an updated version of the Irish nuns murdering 800 Irish orphans.

I watched The Shoes of the Fisherman (1968). A far better movie.

You missed the part where a bunch of Nuns got on line like disciplined Infantry and moved across a field to see if they could pick up the trail of the Indian girl who fled.
When they pick up the trail, (I am not exaggerating here) a posse of Priests mounts up and goes thundering across the state, killing any Indian that looks young or gets in their way.
In 1923... a horse mounted posse of black robe wearing priests, riding like grim death.
It sounds like “The Crying Game” but the twist happens at the end instead of the middle of the film.
There is no doubt the Vatican’s a byzantine political maze, but that just means it’s a bureaucracy at work. It doesn’t warrant gratuitous smears like this movie seems to be.
So, it was about some freak who becomes pope? And, that's unusual? Why?
Wow. Satan Movie.
Who watches this crap.
The current Pope is doing far more damage to the “Catholic” brand than this movie...
Well it got worse than that, it was non stop nun bashing the Indain pupils till she beat one nun to death.
