Six months ago, I was asked my opinion of the Silicon Valley alignment with MAGA. I said at the time I thought it would last around 18 months and finally climax with a large fracture in the political movement around 2026. I had no idea at the time, the group of technocrats would begin publicly advocating for replacing American workers before Trump took office.
For the past several days I have watched Vivek Ramaswamy, David Sacks, Elon Musk and his big tech influencers debating with their followers about the importance for them to continue expanding H-1b visas for foreign tech workers. It is stunning to see this crew double, triple and quadruple down on advocacy, while defining American workers as inadequate for their Silicon Valley needs.
Alas, it is what it is. Within the argument Musk, Ramaswamy, Sacks and group have presented multiple justifications for their foreign worker assistance programs, while advocating for expanded immigration support therein.
Within the tone of their argument, they essentially say the American worker is (1) not intellectual enough; (2) doesn’t have the right work ethic; and the latest point of justification is that (3) American culture is to blame for their need to import foreign workers.
As Vivek Ramaswamy recently said, “Our American culture has venerated mediocrity over excellence for way too long (at least since the 90s and likely longer). That doesn’t start in college, it starts YOUNG.” Thus, as the narrative is sold, American workers need to be replaced with more culturally appropriate Indian tech workers.
When the Indian-American starts saying Indian culture is more adequate at creating workers for the American tech industry, he loses me completely.
If the Indian culture is the holy grail breeding ground for software engineers, then why isn’t New Delhi replacing Silicon Valley?
Considering that factually the Indian culture is entirely based on a caste system, the argument is even more absurd.
What we need are training and recruitment centers for American students. However, the larger issue within the billionaire tech team advocacy is an issue of self-interest.
What we see in the justifications and arguments of the Ramaswamy, Musk and Sacks group is a very specific point of immigration policy for their subset within a singular sector of the American economy. Perhaps this would not be such a big issue, if these points of advocacy were coming from outside government interest groups. However, with this tech team going into the administration, the influence becomes something a little bigger.
The part the Tech Group do not understand is the core of the American DNA, “Liberty“…
It is only from the position of liberty, intellectualism actualized in freedom form, that the working culture of America, the ingenuity part, can be understood.
If you attempt to quantify Americanism with math and algorithms, the translated outcome always fails.
Dear Vivek Ramaswamy, my counter take…
Several years ago, Florida Power and Light won the prestigious international Edward Demming Award for excellence in multi-platform engineering, efficiency superiority and total quality in the process of energy management.
However, the scruffy rednecks did not blow every PhD intellectual out of the water with slide rules, CAD programs, articulated and quantified quality improvement processes and engineering acumen. They did it with hard hats and dirty fingernails.
Because they lost the award, the jaw-agape Japanese spent 6 months visiting and reviewing FPL and later published a 1,000-page study essentially saying FPL “wasn’t really good, they were just lucky.”
You see, the reviewers couldn’t actually quantify the reason why the Florida-based energy company was so successful. In response the FPL field leadership laughed, took out magic markers and wrote on the back of their hard hats: “WE’RE NOT GOOD, WE’RE RUCKY.”
A few years later, every single Kuwaiti oil field was blown up by Saddam Hussein. Global analysts and think-tanks proclaimed it would take 5 years to cap them all off and restart the Kuwait oil pumping industry. Well, the Kuwaiti’s and Saudi’s called Texans, who had them all capped and back in working order in 6 months.
We are a nation that knows how to get shit done.
A few more years pass, and the Northern Chile mine workers were trapped two miles underground. The eyes of the world began to tear as the word spread. Most began to whisper no one could save them. Who did they call for help? A bunch of hick miners from USA coal country who went down there, worked on the fly, engineered the rescue equipment on site, and saved every one of them.
Yup, that’s our America. Ingenuity born from freedom.
Across the pond a half-breed Islamic whack job, armed with an AK-47 and a goal to meet his virgins, began opening fire on a train in France. The scruffneck Americans on board didn’t run to the nearest safe room and hide themselves amid baguettes and brie. They said, “let’s go”, and beat the stuffing out of that little nut with a death wish.
Legion d’Honneur or not, that’s us. WE ARE AMERICANS! That’s just how we roll.
In fact, Lady Liberty can stroll along the Champs-Elysées with a swagger befitting Mae West because without her arrival, they’d be speaking German in the Louvre. Yet, for the better part of the past decade, a group of intellectual leftists have been teaching our children that it’s better to be sitting around a campfire eating sustainable algae cakes and picking parasites off each other; because ‘save the planet’, or something similarly minded. It would appear, they hate the outcomes and inequities from freedom.
Warmest regards,
Americans First!
My BEST advice to @elonmusk @VivekGRamaswamy @DavidSacks and the Silicon Valley tech elites, is to keep talking. Just keep telling Americans how terrible they are and how they need to be replaced. Great Job.

Then there’s this...
Tucker Carlson Exposing American Companies & The Swamp For Putting American Workers Last “Companies routinely use H-1B visas as a means to fire their existing American workers and replace them with lower paid foreigners.” “If only our leaders cared to put Americans First.”

That’s why we’ve got Don PDJT holding the reins.
the truth is the foreign workers are cheaper
but if the argument is made that there are not enough Americans to fill the positions
then they are arguing for school choice
Cultural nepotism. When Whites do it they're bad, if not evil.

> I need to hear more, but my gut tells me this is all a play from the left to divide Trump from Elon and Vivek and perhaps the rest of us.
The only people doing the dividing here are the techbros. No one except for Musk and Ramaswamy (or their minions) are bad-mouthing real Americans and claiming we don’t have enough tech know-how right here at home. THEY kicked this anthill! We ABSOLUTELY have enough great American tech people, but Musk et al don’t want that. They want CHEAP LABOR that can have their visas revoked if they don’t comply with crap wages and treatment.
I have been working in tech since the 1990s and been very close to what is happening in this sector. I saw my beloved Valley get overrun with cheap and compliant visa immigrant tech workers who then gain citizenship and vote for Dims. Let me tell you definitively that tech leaders have been trying to screw over Americans for cheap labor for decades. Heck, look back over a decade and you can see the techbros smooching Dimocrats behinds because Dims were lax on immigration and they could get their cheap labor easily.
Now they realize that the American people won’t stand for Dims replacing them with foreigners, they pretend to align with President Trump, and then they spring this booby prize after he is elected.
It stinks and they have no business in determining how we maintain America’s sovereignty.
I always ran hot and cold on Vivek and was shocked when certain people preferred him over Vance. Thank goodness the better choice won out.
And there’s more than that I posted.
So if this from the article (”Within the tone of their argument, they essentially say the American worker is (1) not intellectual enough; (2) doesn’t have the right work ethic; and the latest point of justification is that (3) American culture is to blame for their need to import foreign workers.”) is their argument, given what Tucker and others have reported on, I’m not sure they would win that argument.
They’re in charge of cutting government waste, not advocating for foreign workers. They need to shut up, and do the job they’re told to do, or get the f-— out of the way.
Several years ago, I heard a podcast in which someone claimed to be a young white man in an American college, STEM program. His teacher was Indian, as were most of the students.
He said the teacher assisted the other students' with their questions and projects, but was more curt with him, providing little help. He sensed the teacher was trying to push him out of the program, trying to get him to fail and leave.
That's one anecdote. But I also hear about a lot of young white men, non-woke, who are having a hard time finding professional work in this DEI environment.
I say, let's focus on educating our youth. Cut off the supply of foreign tech workers, and force colleges and corporations to train our youth.
I don't care what label you put on it. Conservative, MAGA, populist, nationalist. To hell with all labels. It's good policy, whatever label you put on it.
The H1-B problem has existed since the 1980’s.
The companies have been rewarded, in the past, with tax write-offs for hiring them.
So, no H1-B’s, pay more taxes!!
The military/industrial complex, and the adjoining federal oversight offices, have their shareof them, too.
We need the companies, the companies have slots to fill, with intelligent people, and if Gen Z is not up to the task, whachhagonnadoboutdat?
Yes they do make some good points, this nation is graduating kids from 12 grade that can’t read/write their own name! And it’s occuring now in even larger numbers than before that has to stop asap!! Or the US of A is gonna be relegated to 3rd world status.
Big Mistake
Trump himself has talked about encouraging the brightest of the bright to stay in America. But that’s different from importing average engineering and science grads simply to lower the cost to tech companies. Vivek, as usual, is motivated by something other than MAGA. If his views on this matter don’t wake people up to him, eventually he will expose himself. He’s simply too self-servingly ambitious and self promoting to be trusted. Elon has his own baggage, but I trust him more than I trust Vivek.
The challenge for Trump is to use these tech billionaires rather than being used by them. It’s easy enough to banish them and declare them enemies of MAGA, but then you risk turning them into public enemies who use their money and influence to thwart you at every turn. It’s better if Trump can get what he can from them while avoiding being sucked in and manipulated by them. As the saying goes, keep your friends close but your enemies closer.
Wow. Do you know when that aired? It seems like it is from around 2008 or so.
There are certainly “whiz Kids”, and that goes for most professions. But you’re right. The average, accomplished professional in computers and other tech fields is simply someone of above average intelligence who dedicates himself to being good at what he does.
Call ANY online store, target, amazon, Macys, Bloomingdales, gamestop and its ALL people who can’t speak a freakin word of English..only when you call Best Buy do you get Americans, otherwise you get people who are given American names like “Hi this is Stanley how can I help you” yeah Stanley my a@@ whats your birth name! And you have to explain over and over again what the problem is because they dont understand one word you are telling them
Don’t forget, Vivek’s foamily made their millions through medical fraud.
I haven’t really followed Vivek and Musk on this issue, but IF they are promoting the expanding of H-1B visas, they are stabbing MAGA in the heart.
MAGA doesn’t mean sh** if instead of sending jobs off-shore to benefit woke corporations and globalists, we are just bringing the off-shore here to benefit woke corporations and globalists.
Trump should make his position clear on this, or he will lose support.
