Freedom to choose between good and evil.
Everyone has it and makes a choice.
We have boxed in free will, meaning we can make choices but our guardrails are the consequences that follow our free will choices.
Since the trend is to instead regard circumstances as the guardrails, this comment is cool.
Have you ever met an evil person who was hard working in a positive way? No, they are all lazy and talk alot and stir the pot all the time.
I’ll have both, please, and make them doubles!
In the bottom line it’s all about the biblical term Mitzvot, which most translate as commandments but in a deeper sense comes from a Hebrew root meaning “to connect”. Commandments are ways God gives us to connect with him. This brings about promises and blessings.
Free will is found on nearly every page of Torah.
Before man is life and death, good and evil, that which he shall choose shall be given him. - Ecclesiasticus 15:18
"You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks"
Did you post this on your own, or did someone tell you to do it?
Deuteronomy 30:19
“I call heaven and earth to witness you today: I have put before you life and death, blessing and curse — therefore choose life!”
It’s why we are here
Jeremiah 17:9
“The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?
I’ll have to credit the textbook author.
Okay. I was looking for meaning of Hebrew in headline.
