The World Is Healing: Trump Is Already Negotiating Peace, Tariffs, and Immigration Deals
Hotair ^ | 12/01/2024 | David Strom

President Trump is, for all intents and purposes, already President of the United States again.

Donald Trump is effectively running the country right now, and we're so much better off because of it. World leaders rightly recognize that Trump is in charge, and they're running down to Mar-a-Lago (the real White House) to make deals that protect our borders and people. https://t.co/ejEp96J3pN— James Fishback (@j_fishback) November 29, 2024

Barring Biden handing over nuclear weapons to Ukraine--and yes, the administration has been discussing that possibility--the transition from one administration to the next has already happened in the eyes of the world.

If America had a functional president, people would be complaining about Trump "negotiating" with foreign leaders.

But common sense is emerging in The Golden Age.

We all want Trump talking to world leaders today. It makes us feel like something is working.

https://t.co/OTbDzgwjXj— Scott Adams (@ScottAdamsSays) November 30, 2024

The latest examples of that have been Trump's negotiations with the President of Mexico and Justin Trudeau's visit to Mar-a-Lago yesterday. Scheinbaum has already bent the knee, and Justin Trudeau is presumably doing the same.

Reports say the meeting was requested by the Canadian side. pic.twitter.com/xcLrPjRwWW— CBS Evening News (@CBSEveningNews) November 29, 2024

Trump is also pushing for a hostage deal with Hamas to occur before he even returns to office, and he has the leverage to make that happen in all likelihood. Already a ceasefire with Hezbollah is on track to work, although expect some Hezbollah-linked individuals will continue to violate the agreement. And we may yet see real movement on resolving the Gaza conflict and getting the hostages back.

Trump is already getting Ukraine and Russia closer to a cease-fire. As expected, it is not based on dropping support for Ukraine, but for finding a modus vivendi between Russia and Ukraine. If Trump manages to get a ceasefire in place before January 20th, he will have accomplished in weeks what Biden couldn't in three years.

Trump’s Ukraine envoy has a plan to end the war that Putin may revel in

Zelenskyy has already moved on his demands for a full return of Ukraine's territory, and Putin has expressed confidence that Trump can negotiate a deal. Anybody who thought Trump would completely abandon Ukraine will either be elated or disappointed by Trump's position, as his goal is to get an immediate cease-fire and not to hand Ukraine over to Russia by cutting off all support.

 If you were hoping all aid to Ukraine to be cut off, prepare to be disappointed. If you feared that was what he would do, prepare to be elated

In a single post, the president-elect told the world what the end of the Ukraine war might look like. And it is going to be a big diplomatic ask, to say the least.

“I am very pleased to nominate General Keith Kellogg to serve as Assistant to the President and Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social channel. “Together, we will secure PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH, and Make America, and the World, SAFE AGAIN!”

By appointing Keith Kellogg as his special envoy to Ukraine, Donald Trump has also chosen a very specific, pre-announced plan for the thorniest foreign policy issue on his plate.

Kellogg, Trump’s 80-year-old former national security advisor, has laid out his peace plan in some detail, writing for the America First policy institute in April.

It begins calling the war “an avoidable crisis that, due to the Biden Administration’s incompetent policies… has entangled America in an endless war.”

In short, a ceasefire will freeze the frontlines and both sides will be forced to the negotiating table. But it is in the longer details where it all gets complex.

As always with Trump, it is the art of the deal.

The world appears to be done with Biden and his administration, and everyone outside the United States is coming to terms with a Trump victory and getting a head start on cutting deals with the real power in America.

Zelensky says he’s willing to cede territory to Russia in exchange for NATO protection in stark departure from previous stance

If I were Biden, I would stand back and be glad. If Trump can get a bunch of important deals wrapped up before he leaves office, he can comfort himself that the world began healing while he remained president and try to take credit.

It really is kind of incredible how President of the United States Joe Biden doesn't even really exist or matter anymore and nobody in our media is even asking questions why. https://t.co/ZvV7DlEr5V— Stephen L. Miller (@redsteeze) November 30, 2024

Nobody will really believe he was responsible except a few Democrats, but that is better than nothing.

I’m just waiting for the media to tell us: “Peace is bad. Balanced budgets are bad. Enforcing our laws is bad. Telling people the truth is very, very bad.”

I think they will pretty much try that strategy and it will sink them fast.

I’m surprised that The Meritless Garland is not already bringing suit.

Turns out that having a weak, incompetent administration chosen by the MSM isn’t such a great thing for America, or for the rest of the world either.

I’m reminded of a line I heard many years, related to sports: “don’t let the newspapers pick your starting line-up.”

So much winning and still a month and a half to go until Inauguration Day.

Ukraine’s Zelensky Used tax-paid U.S. Military Assets To Campaign For Harris in Pennsylvania. Zelensky’s visit with Harris surrogates comes on the same day The New Yorker published an interview in which he criticized Trump and Vance.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky appeared to use U.S. military assets to campaign for Kamala Harris on a visit to battleground state Pennsylvania on Sunday. On another trip to ask the U.S. government for money and munitions, Zelensky toured a Pennsylvania ammunition plant with Gov. Josh Shapiro, a prominent Kamala Harris surrogate, and other Democrats, including Sen. Bob Casey. Zelensky arrived in Scranton, Pennsylvania (President Joe Biden’s oft-referenced birthplace), aboard a U.S. Air Force C-17, images of which he used to advertise his visit. In a message recorded from the inside the aircraft, Zelensky noted, “This fall will determine what’s next in this war.”

“Zelensky is in Pennsylvania … signing bombs with Gov. Shapiro. Zelensky is also attacking J.D. Vance in the biggest, most important battleground state in the country during an election year,” Sean Parnell, former Pennsylvania Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, said at a Trump rally Monday. “Folks, if that ain’t foreign election interference, I don’t know what is.”

Notably, Zelensky’s trip came on the same day The New Yorker published an interview in which he criticized former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio. Zelensky took issue with Trump’s debate response about the war in Ukraine, in which the Republican said he wanted the war to end. “Trump makes political statements in his election campaign,” Zelensky said. “My feeling is that Trump doesn’t really know how to stop the war even if he might think he knows how,” Zelensky added (emphasis original). “With this war, oftentimes, the deeper you look at it the less you understand. I’ve seen many leaders who were convinced they knew how to end it tomorrow, and as they waded deeper into it, they realized it’s not that simple.”

The Ukrainian leader also called Vance “too radical,” saying his plan to end the war with Russia is “just sloganeering.” “For us, these are dangerous signals, coming as they do from a potential Vice-President. I should say that it hasn’t been like this with Trump,” Zelensky said. “I don’t take Vance’s words seriously, because, if this were a plan, then America is headed for global conflict,” he continued, comparing a negotiation with Russia to appeasement of Adolph Hitler prior to World War II. “The Biden-Harris admin is using military assets to fly a foreign leader into a battleground state in order to undermine their political opponents,” Dan Caldwell, public policy advisor at Defense Priorities, posted on social media.

https://twitter.com/dandcaldwell/status/1838249007681786343
In response to an inquiry from The Federalist, the Department of Defense did not deny the use of American military assets for the trip, but declined to comment on Zelensky’s statements or apparent campaign work.

While not calling out Trump by name, Zelensky appeared to further criticize the former president later in the interview when he went after world leaders for seeking working relationships with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which Trump often stresses as key to foreign policy success.
`````````````````````````````````````````
“A lot of world leaders want to have some` sort of dealings with Putin, to reach agreements, to conduct some business with him. I look at such leaders and realize that they are very interested in playing this game — and for them, unfortunately, it really is a game,” Zelensky said. “But what makes a real leader? A leader is someone whom Putin needs for something, not a person who needs Putin. Flirting with him is not a sign of strength. Sitting across the table from him might make you believe you’re making important decisions about the world.”
Ironically, Zelensky also said, “I think Ukraine has demonstrated the wisdom of not becoming captured by American domestic politics.” Zelensky visited the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant during his trip to Pennsylvania. According to Military.com, the plant is one of a handful in the country that produces a 155 millimeter artillery shell. The United States has already shipped 3 million such shells to Ukraine.
He will attend the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday and Wednesday before traveling to the nation’s capital to meet with President Joe Biden and Harris to ask for more military assistance. The U.S. has already contributed over $56 billion to Ukraine, making it the largest donor in the Ukraine Defense Contact Group. The group of about 50 countries has given Ukraine a total of $106 billion since the beginning of the war.
The artillery shells Zelensky inspected, and to which he affixed signatures along with Shapiro, have a range of 15 to 20 miles, but Zelensky has been persistently seeking longer-range missiles to fire into Russia. However, the Biden administration has not approved those munitions, and it has argued that the Ukrainian military already has the capability to fire at Moscow with its own drones.
Is that Trudeau sitting next to Trump in Mar-a-Lago photo? Yesterday, I posted that Trudeau went to Mar-a-Lago, hoping for an invite. Looks like I was correct.
Omitting the people here that are simply here to spam us (call them the zero-group), there are two types of people when it comes to dealing with the Ukraine War:
1) The people who only look at Western Media and thus think that the only reason for the war is because Putin got up on the wrong side of the Feb 24, 2022 and thus decided to grab more land for Russia.
2) The people who have taken the time to understand the recent history in Ukraine and Russia, and thus understand how the war needs to end.
Unfortunately, Trump’s guy to end the war falls into the first category and thus will not make any progress until he gets some ‘education’ by Tulsi, Musk, RFK Jr. and others. Then, if he’s still around, he’ll be in a position to finally put an end to the war. Otherwise, he’ll just be a continuation of Harris/Biden.
I’m waiting for tomorrow’s headline in the NYT: “Experts Say World War III Preferable To Peace If Trump Might Get The Credit”. Because that’s exactly what they do believe.
Stay alert. Don’t be surprised when the deep state and bad actors on the world stage don’t throw in the towel so easily.
Because what’s good for General Bullmoose is good for the USA.
( a line from the Lil Abner movie from 1959, which is worth watching just to see Julie Newmar as Stupefying Jones)
It also gives you a good idea of how politics really works.
Senator Jack S. Fogbound is still the role model for most senators.
“Not buying it. Kellogg is s smart dude.”
I do hope you’re right, and if he is smart, then he should learn the facts quickly, and be able to start making progress. I only know what I hear about people, but I also know that many people did graduate from Group 1 to Group 2, including Musk, so that certainly is possible.
