Fight ‘em yourself, Cap’t Crunch. Leave the rest of us out of it.

Do you really think the Emperor would have surrendered—or would we be all be wandering around in wastelands today?

Probably, but my first Subaru was built in Hiroshima, even Ground Zero recovered in a generation.

Once again, special case, a couple devastated cities in a world with a mostly intact post war US industrial base behind them.

Japan also had the benefit of W. Edwards Deming, while all Europe got was the Marshal Plan.

Wait. You are blaming the US Embargo of Japanese oil for the Pearl Harbor attack? Jeeezus. All Japan had to do was stop murdering vast numbers of Chinese. Have you ever read about the Nanking Massacre?

Exactly—and credit should also be given to the hard working and smart Japanese people for their recovery.

People today are softer and dumber—in no shape to rebuild much of anything.

I’m not a warmonger. All the openings for that job are over filled.

Besides, I’m retired...

"NATO is discussing the possibility of preemptive precision strikes on the territory of Russia in the event of an armed conflict with the alliance countries. This was stated at a conference in Brussels by the head of the Military Committee of the bloc, Admiral Rob Bauer."

"the probability of a Russian attack on one of the NATO countries, including Poland or the Baltic states, is estimated to be low. This was stated in an interview with PAP by the head of the alliance’s Military Committee, Rob Bauer."

So is he saying the possibility of preemptive strikes is because the probability of a Russian attack is estimated to be low?

So now they are down to their last ace in the hole to stop Trump. Start WWIII before January 20th.

Playing a Joker as an ace? I suppose you could say that.

Yup, we embargoed their imports of oil, rubber, and food to get them to stop invading China and murdering civilians.

“But it’s important to consider that all of the “Elites” have survival bunkers.”

They are misguided. Not even cockroaches will survive this. Even if they did all their slaves would be gone. And they can’t even clean their own fingernails.

Japan also had the benefit of W. Edwards Deming, while all Europe got was the Marshal Plan.

Japan also 'got' the Korean War which had the side-effect of stimulating the Japanese industrial economy and getting the US occupation planners to realize Japan's place in US strategic planning.

Exactly—and credit should also be given to the hard working and smart Japanese people for their recovery.

They, well, let me tell a true story:
I lost two of my early jobs in the semiconductor industry to Japanese competition. I wasn't angry (plenty of other jobs available then) I was impressed! We had clobbered them, they came back and they beat us at our own game fair and square using our own rules and playing smart and being industrious!

Second true story:
Later I was given an assignment to reverse engineer Japanese and other US companies memories, with a focus on the individual memory cells.

The three American parts were virtually identical. The three Japanese parts were wildly different from the American parts and each other.

And this was back when the Japanese had the reputation of only copying, not creating...

NATO/nuclear annihilation or no NATO. To me, the choice is obvious.

Let The Netherlands do this preemptive strike on their own.

Really, leave us OUT of this insanity. Putin will only have to use three nukes to take out the Netherlands - makes it easier for all of us.

And that statement, alone, is sufficient to justify a Russian “preemptive” strike on the netherlands.

Great idea!

Provoke a dictator who personally controls the largest stock pile of nuclear weapons in the world.
