A few days before last week’s election, Bernie Sanders issued a dire warning to voters: “If Donald Trump is elected, the struggle against climate change is over.”
He had that right.
Climate change fanaticism was effectively on the ballot last week. The green energy agenda was decisively defeated.
It turns out that the tens of millions of middle-class Americans who voted for Trump weren’t much interested in the temperature of the planet 50 years from now. They’re too busy trying to pay the bills.
That result shouldn’t be too surprising. Every poll in recent years has shown climate change ranks near the bottom of voter concerns. Jobs, inflation and illegal immigration register much higher on the scale of concerns.

The money quote.
Good. It’s just a boondoggle and a grift for the left.
Climate change has always been a big loser since the beginning of time.
Spend the climate money on canals...or dams...
Rather than trying to change global warming, a situation which has happened many times in Earth’s history.
Mankind should be doing it’s best to ADAPT to the coming conditions.
Good.
Sorry wrong.
If you listened to JD Vance answer questions on Tariffs related to OIL you would know that when we import oil its often of low quality. So if you refine it (in TX) it produces a lot of pollution many times more than if we used our nice clean crude oil here in the USA.
The USA is very concerned about our planet maybe try looking at China and other countries they pollute so much more!
calm down and rest in the fact that conservatives DO want to save the planet but in a common sense way.
CD
Amen to that!
That's one of many reasons why I voted for Trump.
If true, climate change would be affecting he planet and people way in the future.
But, ‘climate change’ has been affecting people currently and many years in the past...
from the huge expenditures dedicated to combating a made-up issue, where all of the many billions (perhaps trillions) of money could have been used to make people’s lives better now and in the past.
Nobody knows what the climate will be 50 years from now, but we do know that the climate does change and we can deal with it as it comes. So, wasting money on a future climate that is unknowable, is foolish.
We are not going to save the planet.
Once you accept that simple fact life gets a lot easier.
Homo sapiens needs to get some real humility—and fast.

The planet has been through a lot worse than us. Been through all
kinds of things worse than us. Been through earthquakes, volcanoes,
plate tectonics, continental drift, solar flares, sun spots, magnetic
storms, the magnetic reversal of the poles; hundreds of thousands
of years of bombardment by comets and asteroids and meteors; worldwide
floods, tidal waves, worldwide fires, erosion, cosmic rays, recurring
ice ages... And we think some plastic bags, and some aluminum cans
are going to make a difference? The planet... the planet... the
planet isn’t going anywhere. WE ARE!
— George Carlin
We have a situation locally (Upstate NY)...flooding....cuz Canada and USA regulated Great Lakes at a new level...and...created one great big flooding mess.
And Black creek overflows every hard rain. It should be able to be solved engineering wise...if someone would step up and think out of the box.
There were a LOT of election losers. Two were Kam and Tampon Tim.
“If Donald Trump is elected, the struggle against climate change is over.”
The USA needs to rid itself of the Commie Burn.
“The struggle against Climate Change is over.”
Good, Climate Change isn’t our enemy.
