It is election season, so our front yards are naturally covered in yard signs.
The yard signs - in Illinois, at least – have usually been issue-free, focused entirely on name recognition. We are accustomed to seeing the name and the office, nothing more.
This year, however – perhaps from a sense of desperation? – the Democrats have started putting issues on their signs - the most outrageous, unhinged issues one can imagine.
We see Harris-Walz signs that say “No Felonies!” or “No Bankruptcies,” or even, as they fight their way to the bottom of the barrel, “Remember January 6!” as if such a slogan should be as motivating as “Remember the Maine” or “Remember the Alamo.”
But the most shocking of all, Gentle Reader, in this writer’s opinion anyway, is this one, which has begun to populate the front lawns of people suffering from not just TDS, but a level of cognitive dissonance almost unimaginable if we didn’t see the evidence before our very eyes:
“We No Longer Have A Difference In Political Opinion; We Have A Difference In Morality.”
Note now, it would be understandable if the Right were putting up signs like this. We don’t, because there’s something particularly uncomfortable about this one. It’s a cringeworthy statement, a judgment against our neighbors that goes over the line.
However we may disagree with our neighbors, we have always wanted to believe that we all have the same goal in the end – we hope that both sides are wishing for a safe, prosperous, peaceful country, and we just disagree on the best way to get there.
Unfortunately, this hope is more difficult to believe every year, as the Left’s official positions grow further and further away from mainstream American thought.
Do we have a difference in morality? Well, let’s see now.
Democrats are so wedded to the abortion lobby that they go way past the minimal limits of Roe v Wade, and now officially endorse abortion-on-demand through all nine months of pregnancy. Abortion is no longer to be “safe, legal and rare,” the Democrats want it to be routine, immune to argument, and taxpayer-funded.
Democrats are so committed to their desire to dilute the voting power of real American citizens that they have thrown open the borders, inviting in millions of illegal aliens per year, despite it being a terrible insult to the millions of honest immigrants who waited for years to come here legally and the millions more who are still waiting abroad for their legal opportunity to join our community the right way.
Democrats say ‘believe all women!’ unless the people being accused of harassment, molestation, rape or worse are prominent Democrats, from donors Ed Buck and Harvey Weinstein to former Governor Andrew Cuomo and former Vice President Joe Biden.
Democrats are so committed to their insane climate hoax (the idea that weather changes are driven by manmade carbon dioxide output rather than by solar activity), they are happy to destroy the American standard of living by pricing natural gas appliances out of the average budget, by attacking the manufacturing of normal gasoline-powered automobiles, and by destroying the proven efficiency of coal, oil, and natural gas electricity production in favor of utterly destructive and inefficient Chinese solar panels and wind turbines. Democrats care so little for the safety of their constituents – and care so much for their cherished interest group activists – that they have virtually legalized crime by setting criminals free upon conviction, or even setting them free without bail in numerous cities, by banning the very concept of charging a bail bond, and simply releasing robbers, muggers, gang members, etc. for free, until a trial date that never arrives.
Democrats care so little for the health of the public that they invite those millions of illegal aliens in without the standard wellness checks upon arrival that has been traditional for as long as there has been modern medicine. As a result, contagious diseases long since obliterated in America, like tuberculosis and polio, have seen a resurgence in recent years, entirely because of these open borders.
Democrats are so unconcerned about our children’s safety that they have endorsed the transgender derangement that currently infects our pop culture; they endorse the mutilation of children, irreversibly chopping off their genitals and rendering them sterile for life.
Democrats have abandoned their long-held claim as the guardians of women’s rights, by utterly destroying the concept of women’s sports. They now allow biological men to compete against women in every sport from swimming to boxing, endangering the safety of the girls who are no physical match for men, and robbing the girls of titles, scholarships, and awards for which they’ve worked their entire lives.
Democrats have abandoned the blue collar workers, long their political base, by driving employers out of business or out of the country. By killing so much of our industrial base over the past two generations, Democrats have done no favors for anyone but China. They have ruined the lives and livelihoods of countless hard-working Americans.
Democrats showed their true colors during the Covid-19 scare of 2020, when blue state governors and mayors exceeded all legal authority to break the first amendment in every way, closing schools and churches, closing off playgrounds and public meetings. The damage to our nation’s schools has been evident in test scores, the damage to mental health from those shutdowns is only beginning to be realized. Millions were denied care as hospitals refused to do normal preventative checkups, allowing cancer and similar gradual diseases to progress before discovery. And how many people were denied the ability to visit their sick and dying parents, spouses and grandparents in nursing homes as these utterly unscientific no-contact policies deprived loving families of interaction at the end? No one but a modern Democrat could have supported such tyranny.
Even in foreign policy, the Democrats have excelled in finding the most immoral possible positions, beyond all expectation. They drove Russia to invade Ukraine, they funded Iran’s attacks (through surrogates Hamas and Hezbollah) on Israel, and Iran’s attacks (through the Houthis) on the global economy. Their sudden and complete abandonment of Afghanistan alone would bring shame worthy of seppuku to any political leader capable of feeling shame, but today’s Democrat politicians are too immoral to listen to a conscience.
And back here at home, the Democrats currently in office have caused a level of inflation unsurpassed in the United States for over 45 years. Between the increases in the prices of groceries, cars, energy and housing over the past four years, the most basic elements of the American way of life – being able to move out on one’s own, marry and raise a family, and retire in some comfort – are increasingly out of reach, all because of the policies implemented by the Biden-Harris regime.
We could go on. The list of such issues is almost endless.
But the matter is clear, to anyone whose mind hasn’t been confounded by Trump Derangement Syndrome or the biased reporting of the Leftist media.
If there’s a difference in morality in this election, it’s easy to see which side is moral, and which side is anything but.

Arizona is loaded, and the Trump people are having fun with the signs: “Trump: Low Taxes, Kamala: High Taxes”. There are also billboards featuring the very distinctive AZ state flag mimicking the Harris billboards, but instead of saying “Republicans for Harris” they say “Illegal Aliens for Harris” and “Gang Members for Harris”.
There are quite a few in my rural (red) part of (blue) Illinois that are red-white-blue and just say:
SUPPORT THE
MIDDLE CLASS
VOTE REPUBLICAN
We know we can’t overcome the Chicago Democrat machine majority but this is a very strong message.
Got a KaMALa lawn sign in my neighborhood says ‘Grab him by the ballots’. Clever though but probably a stupid lover of abortion.

Someone in my small town (liberal, in upstate NY) had three or four signs in (her, probably) tiny front yard, all the same. They said “Grab Trump By The Ballot.” In all caps.
I saw that one too.
But I also saw one (in a forest of mixed Democrat and Republican signs on a well-traveled corner) that just said “Hurray For Our Side!”
That is the truth, and is at the root of my contempt for military veterans or personnel who support this Communist, Marxist junta.
In my area it’s…”Harris/Walz. Feed Kids, Fix Roads”
In my mind the biggest two issues that the Democrats have went over the edge are:
Free Speech
Weaponizing Government agencies.
We can’t accept these.

Haven’t seen one Harris thing in our area. Many Trump signs of all sizes and colors.
I didn’t bother putting up a Trump sign. People are stealing them.
I am in one the most heavily Republican districts in the US and it went overwhelmingly for Trump in 2016 and 2020, yet all I see are Harris signs. That was also the case in 2016 (Clinton) and 2020 (Biden).
I think people avoid Trump signs due to worries about vandalism or ostracism. Despite this, the district will go heavily Trump this election.
Gosh, I assumed the opposite: That veterans are neither suckers nor losers, and therefore would never vote for Ka-ma-la-la-la . . . .
But I guess it might be a Leftist Vietnam veteran, a really nutty one. By all means, let us know!
