BREAKING: Far-Left USA Today Announces It Will Not Endorse Kamala Harris – “We Believe America’s Future Is Decided Locally”

Far-left USA Today announced on Monday that it will not endorse a presidential candidate in the 2024 election.

This makes USA Today one of the latest far-left major publications to steer clear of backing Vice President Kamala Harris and running mate Tim Walz, joining an unprecedented media shift that includes outlets like The Washington Post and Los Angeles Times.

A spokesperson for USA Today told The Daily Beast that rather than endorsing a candidate, the paper plans to “provide readers with the facts that matter and the trusted information they need to make informed decisions.”

But this sudden detour away from an endorsement speaks volumes about the lack of support Harris is facing.

* * *

Now, five of the six largest U.S. newspapers have either withheld endorsement of Harris-Walz or scrapped endorsements altogether, according to Jake Schneider, Team Trump’s Rapid Response Director.

According to the press release:

Five of the six largest U.S. newspapers have now either declined to endorse Harris-Walz or forego endorsements altogether:

The Washington Post decided to nuke their presidential endorsements for good rather than endorse Harris-Walz — the paper’s first non-endorsement since 1988. The Los Angeles Times — the largest newspaper in Kamala’s home state — declined to endorse for the first time in decades. Multiple other major newspapers — all of whom endorsed Biden in 2020 — have either withheld endorsements or declined altogether, including the Chicago Tribune, the Detroit Free Press, and the Minnesota Star Tribune.

This has to be a terrific blow to Harris campaign, especially when it's combined with both Jeff Bezos and Warren Buffett, two billionaires who heavily supported DemonRat tickets in the past, now refusing to endorse Harris.

Is USA Today still a paper? That’s the biggest news in this article to me.

“We Believe America’s Future Is Decided Locally”

~~~
Tipping their hand!
First of all, implied right in there is the conceding defeat on the White House!
Secondly, when they say “locally”, they don’t mean dog-catcher or city counsel. Think ‘summer of love’
It is difficult to square this kind of thing with the “deadlocked” polls. Something is off.
If the owners of the newspapers were Democrat convention delegates they could have been ordered to support Kamala.
Lol.
“””BREAKING: Far-Left USA Today Announces It Will Not Endorse Kamala Harris”””
The LEFTIST newspapers have a long record of endorsing Democrat Presidential candidates.
I suggest that these leftie newspapers are not endorsing this year so they cannot be in the news for endorsing Kamala.
So if Harris pulls this one off, they can say ‘don’t look at me!’ These Elites (Bezos, Buffet, etc.) really don’t believe that anyone is coming after them if Trump wins or loses, do they?
I just don’t see MAGA tearing stuff up cause they know theyre the ones that have to pay to fix it. Sometime during the ‘Summer of Love’ I began to believe the politicians allowed the destruction to occur because they thought .gov would come in an rebuild better.
I think I’d respect their decision much more if it did not come SO late in the election process (actually, after voting has begun).
IMO, some of the major media conglomerates may be worried about Antitrust lawsuits or partial repeal of the Communication Act of 1996, reversing the obscene consolidation of media.
This feels like they are being forced to make this move to survive the coming obliteration of the Deep State mandate ...
That would include the Deep State’s media arm which includes things like USA Today
The first thing I learned in politics science 101 was how easy it is to make polls show what you want, not what they really are.
I see this as the repeated longterm effect of Trump identifying fake news.
Then we began to echo what Trump was saying.
Thing change when you shine the light on problems. Go find your torches.............................
Yup—accurate polls are very difficult to achieve—there are a ridiculous number of variables that can make things go wrong.
It is easier to just pick a desired result and lie.
I used to stay at a motel a lot in Flagstaff. When I’d get up in the morning to go out, there would be a USA Today in front of the door on the floor. For the longest time, I thought they were door mats.
This is very good news. It shows the big Media owners have no confidence in the Harris/Walz ticket. Their compliance is needed to pull off a coup when/if Trump wins. Their non-endorsement is a significant block in the way of the Left’s refusal to accept a Trump win.
When USA Today came out in the 1980s all the haughty "journalism" schools called it "The Comic Book of Newspapers" because of its color photos, large font, short articles.
It’s nice to see that they can now afford to hire their own, FACT CHECKERS.
