No Place to Hide. No Place to Run. USA is the Last Best Hope

When you engage on the Internet, there are always people who do not want to do things, are unwilling to engage, and think they can hide from the government.  They say they do not want to (pick your action), get a carry permit, sign a petition, purchase ammunition from a store, join a state or local action group, buy a gun from a dealer, or others because:  

They Do Not Want to Be on a List.

The problem with this is:  

99.9% of us are on multiple lists, whether we want to be or not.

There are a few people who do not own telephones, who are not on the power grid, who do not subscribe to magazines, read things on the Internet, or buy goods with credit or debit cards. They are very, very few. They are ineffective politically or in a conflict. The digital shackles we have accepted or which have been placed on us are ubiquitous and encompassing. There is no place left to hide and no place left to run. Either we win this fight for limited government and the rule of law politically, we lose by becoming engaged in some sort of civil war, or we lose everywhere because there isn’t any place left to run.

Canada is becoming worse than the USA every day. Mexico is far worse already.

Nowhere in Europe is better than the USA is now, and everywhere in Europe is likely to get much worse if the USA stays on the path the Biden/Obama administration has put us on. Africa? You joke. Japan? They don’t take immigrants. Australia—it’s already worse than the USA. China? India? They are much worse.

If it is close, a good chance they will refuse to acknowledge the election and impose a Harris presidency through shenanigans and force.

Nothing on the Internet is truly lost. Credit card purchases are forever. Phone conversations are recorded and stored. They are probably only listened to by machines, if at all, but they are kept and can be searched later.

Keeping everyone’s data is expensive and power intensive.

Microsoft just closed a deal to buy and return to service the Three Mile Island Nuclear Power Plant (the one that did not melt down).

That is not small change.

Selling your data to marketers does not require keeping your browsing history forever.

No, you don’t spend several billion dollars on the off chance that someone might want to look up an article that they read 20 years ago.

No, it is about creating a Social Credit Core system so that the Left can punish their enemies and control every aspect of every human being on Earth.

That won’t make a whit of difference.

The Left has refused to accept the results of every Presidential election they’ve lost since Bush. They’re not going to stop now. They’ll double down. Then they’ll double down again.

Antifa has been suspiciously quiet for the last couple of years. But don’t think for a second they’ve all gotten jobs and moved on. They’re biding their time waiting for the order to get back in the streets.

Thank you for posting, but I don’t know. The author’s main premise seems to be to accept the lists that the government has you on. I would say that “security through obscurity” is still your best option. There is no need to volunteer to be on more lists, just because you are on some.

Your smart phone will not work for you when you need it to. Meanwhile, it and all the Apps on it are collecting as much information as they can for the FBI. It is also teaching you to be unable to drive.

When you see the gentleman typing into a tablet at the gun counter, you realize the benefit of being on paper lists that are hopefully long out of date. It IS possible to have enough guns (though only slightly) and there is no reason to help the government to computerize and bring them up to date.

The author also simply does not mention Ayn Rand’s singular argument that there will be nothing good to come from helping these monsters. Anything you can deny them is worth doing.

The author is correct that there is nowhere else to go. You will not maintain your standard of living, in any event.

Cheat by any and all means possible. They already do that, the only question is how blatant they are willing to be. I'm not sure there is a limit. Maduro lost by 40% and still declared himself the winner.

There is no chain of evidence on votes, so there is no way to 'prove' fraud. One of our - possibly fatal - errors as a nation is that we have placed the burden of proof on the party claiming there was voter fraud, not the one claiming things were fair. It should be an absolute requirement to have court-of-law-level proof that every vote was valid.

But that hasn't happened, and certainly won't in the middle of an election cycle. The Dhimms have already won that argument.

Many people, on both sides, are claiming this will be the last free and fair election in the USA. I think they're already too late, since 2020 and 2022 were clearly fraudulent. But in another sense, they are both right. If the Republicans win despite the cheating, this will be the last time that widespread cheating is tried and in the minds of the leftists (as made explicit by Lenin) only the 'correct' votes can be part of a correct election. So in their minds this will be the last valid election. If the Dhimms win all the rules are meaningless and all vote outcomes will be pre-determined.

A fairly gloomy future, but one is much less gloomy than the other. One actually offers the potential for hope.
