Former President Donald Trump's youngest son Barron has been helping his dad to "break the internet" by suggesting and encouraging him to appear on specific shows and podcasts for interviews.
Barron Trump, 18, has been deeply involved in helping to recommend media stops for the GOP nominee, according to a top Trump strategist. “Barron has been very involved in recommending a number of the podcasts that we should do,” Trump press strategist Jason Miller told reporters during Politico Playbook's Deep Dive podcast.
“I got to tell you, hats off to the young man. Every single recommendation he’s had has turned out to be absolute ratings gold that’s broke the internet," Miller added. The Trump campaign has been hitting alternative media outlets in order to get the message of his campaign out to voters, going to places like YouTube as well as other podcasts in order to reach out to undecided or unmotivated voters, in particular they have been reaching out to young men.
The former president has met with podcasters who often have a young male following, including influencer Adin Ross, boxer Logan Paul, as well as comedian Theo Von. Trump is also slated to sit down with Joe Rogan on Friday. Rogan's show often ranks as the biggest podcast on a near constant basis.
“When you look at the impact of podcasts or YouTube shows — non-traditional media — part of the thing is you’re meeting voters where they’re at,” Miller told reporters. “You have millions of Americans, they get their news from social media, maybe they get it from podcasts. This is the trend, this is why some of the biggest names in media are now doing podcasts and such, because that’s where so many voters are getting their information from."
The podcasts have also been able to help humanize the image of Trump in many people's minds, where he is able to talk about life experiences instead of delivering a general stump speech to a wider audience.
Miller said that Barron has been a key player in deciding the media strategy and scoping out opportunities for Trump to make different alternative media appearances. "It’s really turned out to be something that I think has worked to our advantage," Miller said.

I watched some podcast that had a five 30 to 40 year old guys on it. Maybe a sports show? I don’t know. Anyway - they had dinner with Barron and a friend of his at the Trump Home in NYC.
They all said how likeable Barron is. A GREAT conversationalist, funny, etc. They said it was weird because here is this 18 year old but he was the one leading most of the conversation with these older guys.
“Hey dad - can you turn the music down!?”
The guys looked over and President Trump is in another room with the remote control for the house speaker system as he was listening to the music.
Charlie is great!
He’s funny and sensible at the same time.
