And they deserve to suffer the consequences of their voting decisions.
Obviously.
If you’re stupid enough to pay the ridiculous price to get in, you really shouldn’t complain about being charged $26 for a piece of cake.
Exactly.
Exactly - they know that going in, and they’re acting surprised.
Meanwhile, in Italy, tourists are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle so they can fill up (for free) at one of the many fresh water fountains most cities have. When asked why they don't charge for water, the standard response is….”water is essential, you need it to survive”.
There are 2 Cake Bake Shops in the Indianapolis metro area, both in super wealthy neighborhoods, Carmel and Broad Ripple.
I’ve been to the Carmel location for a ladies get-together dinner. Reservations are required, sometimes weeks or months in advance. The wait service is highly trained, and the food is incredible. They go out of their way to please you.
It is very directed to women. Lots of pastel pink and white. Chandeliers, crystal, and flowers everywhere. Even though the prices are high, it is an experience.
FWIW, a slice of “Gwendolyn’s Famous Earl’s Court Chocolate Cake,” costs $17 a slice at both of these locations vs the $26 a slice at Disney. Somebody has to pay for the ambience there, the delicious foods, and the excellent wait service, so I guess it’s the customer if they want to experience it. The desserts are out of this world, made with the finest ingredients. The portions are very GENEROUS.
If you have a Costco membership, you can find Cake Bake Shop gift card at a discount ($80 paid for $100 value).
When my sisters came to visit a few years ago, we went to the Broad Ripple location to choose dessert while our hubby’s went for a beer at a pub a block away.
We all want to go back again. It’s an hour drive for me to either location, but it’s fun to go there as an outing to celebrate something special.
My two cents since I have experience with this restaurant.
Food at DL/DW has always been expensive. People using “offensive” for exorbitant prices are probably in the victimhood racket.

Disney only charges what their customers are willing to pay. Plenty of cheaper places to eat outside of the park gates. With Disney ticket prices being what they are, why are these folks complaining about baked goods? Anyway, Disney does not exist to provide affordable prices for “muh family,” but to make a profit based on what your or my families are willing to pay.
I assume these places don’t let you bring your food in.

anger is the bodies self punishment over something someone else did! Getting mad at things you can walk away from!! What a waste of your life.
Yup—fools deserve to be separated from their money.
Dizzknee what?
“Now it is for adults who never grew up.”
I think the only reason the adults want to go is for bragging rights. Hey look, I payed $1200 a day to take the family.
"It's a quest! It's a quest for fun! I'm gonna have fun, and you're gonna have fun. We're all gonna have so much _____' fun we'll need plastic surgery to remove our g____n smiles! You'll be whistling 'Zip-A-Dee Doo-Dah' out of your a__holes! "
Ha, ha!
I wanted a hit of caffeine yesterday.
Paid $5.50 for a large Diet Coke.
I won’t be back.
It’s a shame people continue to go there. It supports Disney’s grooming.
