Former US Secretary of State John Kerry spoke against freedom of speech at a recent World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting, saying that "allowing individuals to freely post their thoughts on social media hampers the ability of government to build a consensus around a favored policy. It used to be that ill-informed nobodies had no way of spreading their ignorance. Editors of newspapers could weed out unacceptable viewpoints appearing in their 'letters to the editor' page. But now anyone can reach millions of readers by posting to the Internet."
"Efforts to mute these unwanted opinions by having government agents intimidate the operator of social media outlets into censoring undesirable views worked for a while, but the rise of brazen nonconformists with independent wealth like Elon Musk has undermined this approach," Kerry lamented. "Dissent used to be a noble and valuable way of countering the policies of those who never should've had power, but now it mostly impedes the progressive transformation of the world that we here at the WEF are seeking."
Kerry ended with a plea "for a unity of thought to be imposed by whatever means is necessary. We cannot sit by and let the world drift into the chaos of unregulated freedom that the enemies of democracy are trying to seduce humanity into choosing by inundating the interweb with their clever arguments. We must build a system where government controls who can say what so progressive ideals can be enforced everywhere."

Getting elected and/or appointed does not make you intelligent.
Odds are, it means you are a narcissistic sociopath, at least higher than the mean.
But with arrogance comes the need for control.
Kerry’s comments may be some of the most honest and telling comments I’ve heard in a long time. It cuts right to the intrinsic contempt that these life-long politicians have for the people.
What is it about the RAT party that dictatorial gigolos, whores and pimp-daddies rise straight to the top of their tickets?
