WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The U.S. Supreme Court declined on Friday to let President Joe Biden's administration enforce a key part of a new rule protecting LGBT students from discrimination in schools and colleges based on gender identity in 10 Republican-led states that had challenged it.
The justices denied the administration's request to partially lift lower court injunctions that had blocked the entirety of the rule expanding protections under Title IX, a law that bars sex discrimination in federally funded education programs, while litigation continues. The lower court decisions had prevented the U.S. Education Department from enforcing the new rule, announced in April and set to take effect on Aug. 1, in Tennessee, Louisiana and eight other states.
The administration had sought to restore a key provision of clarifying that discrimination "on the basis of sex" encompasses sexual orientation and gender identity, as well as the rule's numerous other provisions that do not address gender identity.

Meaning I think, men (claiming they identify as women) can’t shower with women.
Thank God.
How about protection of Jewish students in schools and universities? Oh who cares about them, only queers matter.
I hope your interpretation is correct, but leftists have their own definitions of all words these days, including "men" and "women."
SCOTUS security breastfeeding for the next several days.
Try finding the states, not easy: Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, West Virginia, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
5-4 decision.
Why it is more important than ever that Trump re-take the White House.
Imagine the SCOTUS picks if Harris is elected...
Good news
They are still protected under the law. They just don’t get federal protection to creep out young women.
Excellent
See a pattern? We are about done for. Why? Look around, go to Walmart, you'll see plenty of people there to thank. They're the ones with the EBT cards.
The crossover vote was Neil Gorsuch. Although conservative on some issues, he has shown himself to be consistently a social liberal with regard to the homosexual agenda.
We need an additional conservative justice on this issue. If Clarence Thomas retires and is replaced by a libertarian, things could tumble badly.
How about this alternative headline?:
“Supreme Court prevents the Biden administration from imposing woke agenda on the states.”
You’re hired!
The law says “on the basis of sex.” “Sex” is a biological term, i.e. if one is male or female. It is not “sexual orientation” or “gender identity.” The president does not get to change the law by an executive order. If you want to broaden the coverage, then go to Congress and get the law changed.
On the other hand, the entirety of Title IX is unconstitutional. Congress cannot regulate activities through funding constraints that it cannot do so by direct legislation on matters covered by the enumeration of powers in Article I.
“If Clarence Thomas retires and is replaced by a libertarian, things could tumble badly.”
A libertarian?????
Try global marxist!
Amen 🙏🏻!
Nothing wrong with men showering with women IF the men have been KNIFE CASTRATED. No pain killers and turpentine used to clean the woulds.
