Ai does only what it is programmed to do and not one person on this planet is neutral on anything.
“I own an Echo Show, the Amazon Alexa device with a screen. For the most part, it’s a billboard mounted in your home full of product placement and personalized ads”
What......in the hell for?
Isn’t it amazing that people actually pay to have a wiretap installed in their home.
Alexa is an electronic spy, which many people can’t resist. “Alexa! Set a timer for me for 15 minutes!”, my in-law commands.
An obedient slave who always listens and forwards everything.
There’s an episode of The X Files that this reminds me of.
In season 11, episode “Rm9sbG93ZXJz” Mulder and Scully find themselves faced with the realities of the ever-developing world of automation and artificial intelligence when they are targeted by AI.
While all the way back in 2018 and a bit tounge in cheek there’s a lot of truth in that episode.
It’s ironic. They’re paying good money 💰 to lose their freedom and privacy.
I don’t even keep my smart TV connected to wireless.
I do however have several apple devices (phones, tablets) that could have an open mic, but I am not as worried about that as fully invasive tech. I don’t need something sitting in the middle of my room keeping track of everything and everyone, all for the sake of convenience.
Your brain is like a muscle. I don’t want a device to remind me of everything. I don’t need my fridge to talk to me, or know what I put in it. There is no reason my toaster should talk to the internet. My thermostat is just smart enough to have a weekly time schedule on it, and I have never had the need or the urge to set my thermostat from a remote location.
I’m so glad I don’t have any Alexa devices in my home.
I’ll go way out on a limb and assume that yes she does.
I took one apart for work, once. The PC board locations for microphones were unpopulated. With speakers, they do not have to be.
The Chinese control all of the software running on it.
Does Alexa love Hamas, too?
I don’t get it. Tech originally was based on smart people, who by definition would be majority libertarian (policy, not party). Now they’re all collectivist tyrant wannabes. What the hell happened?
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Exactly what I’ve been saying all along. If a gospel believing Christian programmed and AI app and a hard-core athiest, evolution toting bloke, and the question of the morality or immorality of abortion was asked each of their AI app, what are the chances the answer would be the same?
Ditto
Kevin Ryan is an incredibly stupid individual.
