I predict Merchan will not actually send President Trump to Riker’s Island. He might do something like sentence him (because after SENTENCING he becomes that “34x felon” they’re craving) but suspends his own sentence until after the election. Or something.
I further predict that if he somehow does, a very dangerous situation will immediately develop, in NYC and many other populated areas. Soft targets abound. There will be violent hell for the progs to pay.
It doesn’t go to the Supreme Court it’ll have to make its way through the state courts in the appeal process
Yup. SCOTUS will overturn this before the echoes subside from Merchan banging the gavel on this.
As long as he is on appeal, I don’t think they can incarcerate him.

Merchan is on the flimsiest of legal footing, and on every aspect of his handling of this case.
I look for Merchan to tread very lightly in the interest of self-preservation. he will attempt to maximize embarrassment for Trump, while trying to look judicially tempered for once in his life.
I predict he sentences Trump to:
- Some house arrest each week
- Trump must wear an ankle monitor
- Trump-travel pre-approval from Merchan required
- Huge fines
The legal system and the world will be a better place when Merchan and his ilk assume room temperature.
