On September 28th, Marxist Judge Juan Merchan will very likely sentence President Trump to Rikers Island for one year.
Democrats want a civil war.
They couldn’t kill him in Butler, so they’ll Epstein him in prison.
Story continues below advertisement The corrupt New York judge who is overseeing former President Donald Trump’s criminal case on Monday wrote that a Sept. 18 sentencing hearing for the former president will remain intact but made several scheduling decisions.
In a letter to Trump’s legal team and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office, Judge Juan Merchan wrote that he will rule on the former president’s motion for the judge to recuse himself in the case on Monday, Aug. 11. So far, previous motions have been struck down by the judge and a state appeals court.
Merchan also told the parties that he will decide by Sept. 16 on a request submitted last week by Trump’s attorneys that certain social media posts made by the former president cited as evidence by prosecutors in the case should be covered by a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling finding that former presidents should enjoy immunity for their official acts. If biden can't pack the court, he can pick replacements should something "unfortunate" happen to one or more of the conservative justices.
When the trial occurred, Trump was only the presumptive Presidential nominee. Now, he is the actual nominee. Merchan, while utterly corrupt, would really be stepping in it to actually send the Republican nominee for President 1 month before the election. Maybe he will sentence him to prison on the day after the election, who knows. We will find out what kind of country we have when this occurs.
Ideally, yes.
That is my take. To stir up trouble.
Ask Peter Navarro how well that went.
Navarro is not a former president. Trump’s case is unique.
Trump needs to make his campaign videos now.
I’m pretty sure he will be imprisoned before election time.
The Supreme Court may not intervene. It generally likes lower courts to do most of the judicial work.
Any sentence will have automatic appeal up the chain, which will freeze any actions for weeks to months.
The difference between the USA and a banana republic is Cavendish bananas on trees.
I agree with you. Trump will be sentenced to prison.
I’m aware. But, all the Trump administration, including Trump have been subjected to missapplication of the law.
They don’t even consider it as a reality. They look at politics as a sport, where they’re ‘dirty players’. They’ll break the rules as though nobody is looking and think when they score everyone will consider it legitimate.
It’s beyond comprehension to them that their actions could translate to civil war.
True. But none of those cases got the attention that Trump’s case has. If he goes to prison, everyone will know about it.
“violent”
No violence
Retire if you can.
Avoid mutual funds.
Don’t buy or sell a house.
Don’t buy a motor vehicle.
Do not vacation in a blue state or one that fails to elect Trump electors.
Avoid eating out at restaurants.
“civil war”
Live at peace. Retire if you can. Spend down your assets. Leftists can’t steal what no longer exists.
Make sure your younger ones have a skill another country would want.
Think of yourselves as Jews in 1932 Germany.
This is such BS. In fact, most with these charges get probation which is what trump will get. Even if a year sentence, it will more than likely be suspended pending three years of good behavior. This is the dumbest article to date and there has been heavy competition.
Yup. SCOTUS will overturn this before the echoes subside from Merchan banging the gavel on this.
As long as he is on appeal, I don’t think they can incarcerate him.
