In a chilling display of disregard for the sanctity of life, Switzerland has introduced an ‘assisted suicide pod’, akin to a vending machine. This device allows individuals to end their lives at the mere ‘push of a button’. The portable death ‘pod’ has received approval from the Swiss government and is expected to claim its first victim this year.
Florian Willet, CEO of the pro-euthanasia organization The Last Resort, announced this disturbing development during a press conference. Willet confirmed that Switzerland will ‘soon’ begin euthanizing citizens using this macabre machine.
According to Willet, there are already people lined up, eagerly waiting their turn to die in the device. He chillingly described it as a ‘beautiful way’ to die.

After answering these questions, a voice instructs them: ‘If you want to die press this button.’
It was pressing the button that resulted in the pod being filled with nitrogen, quickly reducing oxygen levels from 21 percent to 0.05 percent. This causes unconsciousness and ultimately death within five minutes. However, Nitschke warned that once committed, there’s no turning back: ‘Once you press that button, there’s no way of going back.’

I can see another use for these pods in the criminal underworld:
“Nunzio wants his money now! Or I press the button! You got that!!”
Turn them into dog food.
People with suicidal tendencies need attention. Put them in one of the pods and see how unserious they really are.

Perhaps, but likely self limiting., and not in a bad way. Like the Shakers of old, there is a finite market.
What is permitted will come to be mandatory.
I am curious about who pulls them out.

Maybe have coffin like ones in funeral homes for grieving people.
Or converted porta-johns along tough marathon routes.
Or long-term homeless shelters.
Lots of opportunity. They could even have an AI one that could convince an old person that it was the right thing to do.
They could put them behind a N. Korean restaurant.
Corrupt deep state oligarchs and their authoritarian, leftists, socialist cousins and political bosses see money to be made in everything. When you see things thru that lens everything will be on their table, and nothing they promote will be considered evil.

This really is a case of gallows humor, which is a coping mechanism for bad times and events, because what else can you do except wonder what they chose for their Last Supper?
