Donald Trump’s former senior advisor Kellyanne Conway has registered a foreign agent for Ukraine.
In an official filing with the Department of Justice in accordance with the Foreign Agents Registration Act, Conway appears to have agreed a lucrative contract that will involve lobbying U.S. politicians on behalf of Ukrainian interests.

It’s simply people in the political industry working for whatever organization will hire them for the best money to help them bring in more money from other governments. It happens all the time. This one will get more attention because it’s Trump’s former adviser. Unless of course the Dims have played up the Ukraine-is-a-victim angle so much that they might be afraid it’d be good publicity for Trump.
Don’t jump to conclusions that registering s a FARA means something bad. There are many in congress that support the Ukraine and are active in their receiving funds. That makes them a FARA.
An “agent of a foreign principal” is any person who acts as an agent, representative, employee, or servant, or otherwise acts at the order, request, or under the direction or control of a “foreign principal” and does any of the following:
Engages within the United States in political activities, such as intending to influence any U.S. Government official or the American public regarding U.S. domestic or foreign policy or the political or public interests of a foreign government or foreign political party.
Acts within the United States as a public relations counsel, publicity agent, information service employee, or political consultant.
So anyone that works within the US government that is influencing the US to send them money, arms, or diplomatic support is a FARA.
