It’s simply people in the political industry working for whatever organization will hire them for the best money to help them bring in more money from other governments. It happens all the time. This one will get more attention because it’s Trump’s former adviser. Unless of course the Dims have played up the Ukraine-is-a-victim angle so much that they might be afraid it’d be good publicity for Trump.
