Meet Team USA’s ‘Clark Kent’ pommel horse hero - Stephen Nedoroscik
CNN ^ | 07/30/24 | Scottie Andrew

The mocking of Last Supper in the Opening Ceremonies were pure trash, this story is what the Olympics are all about, a self-described nerd who has a personal record of solving a Rubik's Cube in under 9 seconds, has one job in gymnastics, the pommel horse and did so yesterday in a clutch performance that gave the bronze medal to the USA team, their first medal since 2008.

I never watch Men’s Gymnastics or Women’s Rugby, both had great American stories of average Americans competing at the highest level and representing the country properly.

It is a damn shame other gutter trash has to damage the Olympic Games, it’s one thing to say athletes should walk away from the filth, but when your lifelong goal is to compete at the highest level at the Olympics, it’s a totally different story, virtually no one is going to do that, especially in sports that outside of the Olympics get virtually no attention.

Stephen Nedoroscik who I posted about is an electrical engineering major at Penn State, he has no professional future in gymnastics, he could make some money off this event but long term he will settle into a good job as an electrical engineer and live an nice life.

Nice story, The interesting thing is the USA team is very diverse without the DEI BS. The moral of the story is that if you stress excellence and merit you can get diversity.

2 Timothy 3:1-5

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God — having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

Athletics is the one area where DEI has largely not taken hold, the transgender crowd is trying it’s best to destroy athletic competition but so far has not succeeded.

It’s a nice story among all the filth surrounding the Olympics, I choose to celebrate stories like this one and a few others at the Olympics, instead of shutting out everything .

He should have walked away.

Easy to say by someone who hasn't devoted their entire life to reach the level of excellence needed to compete in the olympics.

And that's not even mentioning the amount of money spent to hire the best coaches needed to get you to that level.

I understand the athletes determination, tenacity, and desire to give it their all, their best. But if this disgraceful charade of filth continues, it will be the end of the Olympics eventually. Perhaps some other other competition event is in order. Keep sporting about sports, nothing else.

Not likely, the Olympics has been filled with politics for a long, long time.

Everything from Jesse Owens winning 4 gold medals at the Berlin Olympics while Adolf Hitler was watching in 1936

John Carlos and Tommie Smith giving the black power raised fist at the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City.

The Israeli Athletes getting killed in the 1972 Olympics in Germany.

The USA and USSR boycotting each other’s Olympic Games.

The Summer Olympics and to some extent the Winter Olympics are the one of the few times when the entire world gathers to athletically compete against each other, there is bound to be politics mixed in that ruin them.

The Olympics are not going away any time soon.

I’m not sure that gross display could be called politics, and no other opening ceremony I can remember was so disgusting. I along with many others will no longer watch. Here is just one of many articles. https://news.gallup.com/poll/647771/summer-olympics-poised-record-low-viewership.aspx

That’s all fine, I just choose to root for those Americans doing the right things and who are not spoiled brats and participate in sports that get little to know recognition.

Fact: the US swimming team so far only got two gold medals.

I am afraid partly because officers in the USA Swimming were more busy to make sure a man could compete in female race than to train their swimmers.

If you are not a Christian you were probably fine with the opening ceremony. I looked forward to watching parts but have yet to watch a second of the Satanic Games.

I did not watch a single second of the opening ceremonies, I have watched badminton, ping pong, men’s gymnastics, water polo, and rugby both men’s and women’s, I actually watched South Korea win an air rifle competition by .25 of a point over China, I never knew BB guns could be that sophisticated.

My entire point has been to support those US athletes doing the right thing in sports that get little to no recognition.

In relate news, today PETA decried pommel horse abuse and demanded that all pommel horses should be removed from the Olympics.

I don’t think that’s right, most of the top swimmers today are professionals and train at professional training centers around the country not under the guidance of USA swimming.

Katie Ledecky is the most decorated women’s swimmer of all time, she moved to Gainesville, FL to train at the facilities of the University of Florida, under the guidance of their coach.

Caleb Dressel who was part of a winning relay team was the last I heard training at the same location.

My wife and I really enjoyed watching the USA women’s gymnastics team win last night. Biles now is the most decorated woman gymnast of all time.

What was really crazy is watching the one American girl do the uneven bars with these very long manicured finger nails.

I am not a big fan of Simone Biles, if you watch her perform, she’s on another level, the bounce she has is miles ahead of any other woman in the world, you have to acknowledge that athletically she is phenomenal.

All the young women on that team seemed to be proud to be there and did represent the country well.

“It’s easy to say when you are not the person giving up on your lifetime dream and he was part of a team sport and would have screwed his teammates and virtually no one would do that“

The above is a tactic, it is not an argument. It is also what Jesus said would happen. Narrow is the gate. I’d hate like hell to be in this guy’s shoes but I’m not and he is and that has no effect on right and wrong. He could of course, upon winning , split the baby and call that Olympic committee out for who and what they are in no uncertain terms. I’m sure many people would understand the momentum these athletes build up heading to the Olympics and would cut him some slack. Give a speech that calls a spade a spade. The athletes had no say warning or input in that orgy of deviance.

Using your logic should every Christian who works in corporate America or for any company that acts in the same manner as the Olympics should quit.

Should Harrison Buttker have walked away from his NFL job, should Tim Tebow given up his NFL draft status, they’re an untold number of Christians in professional sports and the Olympics

Virtually no one including Christians would give up a lifetime dream over the opening ceremonies of the Olympics
