Observe Joe Biden's Las Vegas stop at Mario's Westside Market. There are no DEI Secret Service agents guarding him. The DEI agents are reserved only to "guard" candidates that DOCTOR Jill doesn't like such as President Trump. Trump's security detail was crawling with DEI agents when the shots rang out on Saturday in Butler, PA. But for Biden only the BEST meaning large completely professional men guarding him as you can see with not a DEI in sight.
Oh, and a bonus laugh here when someone (probably the press) yelled out that Biden would lose if he is the Democrat nominee. At that exact moment a Biden aide immediately shut down the low key pointless show guarded ONLY by professional Secret Service agents.

If you want to see a contrast, look at the Reagan assassination attempt versus Trump’s. A bunch of middle age alpha males whipping out Uzis, piling on the shooter, forcing Reagan into the car, etc. Trump? A total cluster. Letting him poke his up, not once, but twice. Not covering him properly. Total confusion. Yes, Trump got a very good picture. He could have gotten his head blown off. (This is not a criticism of Trump. He’s going to try to do what he wants. The Secret Service is supposed make him do what he needs to do to not get killed.)
He is a Democrat. He gets the permanent agents. Trump gets Manpower Temps.

I don’t have definite answers, but I think he lost his shoes when he went down. One report was that they were knocked of when the first SS guy tackled him. The other answer is an assumption; the shoes were a potential tripping hazard when they bear hugged him off the stage. In my opinion there shouldn’t have been time to even discuss the shoes. He should have been well on is way to the car before that.
