I like my Kubota.
John Deere is in trouble with farmers already, what with their making their newer equipment so that only Deere techs can repair and do maintenance on them.
JD is loosing market share fast. Their expensive policies are unaffordable.
Small Ag is only 17% of Deere’s business. They care a lot more about production ag customers who buy multi-millions of dollars worth of equipment and are fully-invested in precision ag services like StarfireRTK and expanding services to the 642,000 connected machines.
I bought low speed vehicles when I worked for the government. The manufacturer? KUBOTA!
For extra points, he can get hissef an Impossible Whopper at Burger Queen... I mean King.
97 percent of all U.S. farms are family-owned, and family farms account for 90 percent of all farm production by value,” Resnick said. “In addition, 88 percent of all farms are classified as small family farms.” Resnick says the report underscores the financial conditions for U.S.

‘Family owned’ doesn’t mean ‘small farmer.’ George Soros and his family own stuff, too....
CEOs must be completely unaware of current events or so woke they are purposely sticking their fingers in the eyes of their customers.
I’m a Husqvarna guy but for tractors? Anything except Deere with limits. I didn’t make that decision today. Asian Indian companies or South Korean is a no go.

Tranny Supply sucks
88 percent of all farms are classified as small family farms.
I don’t run deere any more. Haven’t for the last 20 years. They just aren’t worth the money or the trouble. CaseIH now or New Holland, same things. Still have the legacy 4020 though, some things never die.
Mahindra makes a good
line of tractors. Made in
Texas. But they do have
sort of a partenership
for Indias’ tractor
aquisition.

I own a Mahindra for my land. It’s a solid piece of equipment. They are made in America with American labor. They are an Indian company, but their power plants are solid, and their construction is top notch. Plus, they allow you to wrench on their equipment. Not much fanfare or fluff, unlike Deere.
I bought my last tractor during the pandemic and intended to get another Kubota. It was a good tractor. There were none to be found anywhere near me. I looked at all the brands and ended up buying a Kioti (35HP).
This tractor is built like the old Kubotas. Put a little strain on it, nothing flexes (my biggest complaint with the Kubota was the loader arms would flex). I couldn't pick up (safely) a full bucket of stone. This tractor has calcium filled rear tires and I have many times lifted the ass-end off the ground with the loader (I also have a boom arm-and fork attachments for the loader arms (skid-steer disconnect).
My understanding is a bunch of Kubota engineers left the company to form Kioti. So far it has been awesome. I only have ~350 hours on it so it's just broken in (for a diesel). I'm older and don't put the hours on the machine that I once did. This should be my last new tractor.
