By virtually all accounts, Joe Biden's debate performance was disaster. At first the left was in denial and eventually shifted to "it was a just a bad night." The family gathered together at Camp David for a summit to determine Biden's future course. It was speculated that the family might be trying to talk Biden into stepping down, but apparently that was inaccurate. It was reported that they were rather displeased at some advisers.
Members of Joe Biden’s family privately trashed his top campaign advisers at Camp David this weekend, blaming them for the president’s flop in Thursday’s debate and urging Biden to fire or demote people in his political high command.Biden's campaign staff was angry about the debate conditions that they demanded.
Biden’s campaign staff only grew angrier at CNN as to how the debate was run, according to several people familiar with the conversations. Their complaints were lengthy, including that the moderators should have fact-checked Trump more often, that Biden was not told which camera he’d be on when not speaking and that the makeup staff made him appear too pale, according to the three people. Biden did, however, agree to the terms of the debate before it was held.The editorial boards of a few newspapers (NY Times, AJC) called for Biden to drop out of the race but that's not likely for a number of reasons.
Most unsurprising was who was strongest in urging Biden to continue- Jill and Hunter Biden. But they have a big problem on their hands. Biden is exhibiting the symptoms of real mental and physical debilitation- specifically, sundowning and Parkinsons. Liberals tried to take solace in Biden seeming to be more alert the next day while the sun was shining, and he had a teleprompter to read.
And there is the problem.
Axios reported that Biden functions better between 10 am and 4 pm.
From 10am to 4pm, Biden is dependably engaged — and many of his public events in front of cameras are held within those hours.
Outside of that time range or while traveling abroad, Biden is more likely to have verbal miscues and become fatigued, aides told Axios. Sundowning:
Sundowning is increased confusion that people living with Alzheimer's and dementia may experience from dusk through night. Also called "sundowner's syndrome," it is not a disease but a set of symptoms or dementia-related behaviors that may include difficulty sleeping, anxiety, agitation, hallucinations, pacing and disorientation. - Memory.
- Thinking.

All of this was on display Thursday night.
Then we have the staccato voice cadence, the stiff walk and robotic stance.

The staff can demand the next debate be in LA on a Saturday at 3 PM local. That would mitigate his dementia.

I will take a wild guess. The people who are the REAL decision makers know that Biden can not beat Trump. That they can not cheat enough this time in the swing states.
That they can no longer hide his dementia. Therefore, the decision was made to send him out there without the drugs and let him be exposed.
Within minutes the NY Times was calling for his removal. All the other MSM take their talking points from the NY Tines and the Washington Post. So, just like they decided it was time for Nixon to go, they now decided it was time for Biden to go.
These people still supporting Biden are delusional to the point of insanity if they think the symptoms Biden exhibited were caused by his debate prep team, or that any halfway observant and honest person would buy such nonsense!

I disagree somewhat: I think Biden’s handlers misjudged the dosage on his drugs, and then gave him a boost @ the 1st commercial break (or it could be in his “water”? — did the candidates ever take sips of water during all this talking? - I sure would have to!)
It is impossible to otherwise reconcile “the Biden” of the 1st half of the debate with “the Biden” late in the debate, much less “the Biden” of the SOTA or in public the day after the debate, without medications being most of the explanation.
The Biden Regime was expecting the Commie News Network to intervene on behalf of their Half-Wit, but to their credit, they did not for the mostpart.

I was the guardian for an aunt who was demented. Having spent endless hours with her, the progression was obvious to my wife and me.
We finally had to have her “sectioned.” They took her to the hospital where my wife works. We asked for a psych consult. The on call doc came in and interviewed her for five minutes. They came out and told us that she did not meet the “standard” for movement to a geriatric psych ward.
My wife told the doc to go back in for another five minutes. Because they were friends, the doc did so.
About seven minutes later the doc came back out signing the paperwork.
People think dementia is an “all or nothing” situation. It’s not. Usually, until the end stages, the patient can handle short interactions be resorting to rote comments, deflections, and dismissals. Someone walking up to the patient would not always be able to tell because the short interactions can appear normal.
After a few minutes if the conversation becomes more complex, frustration takes over. This is where the eyes squint and the person looks pained searching for words. They can’t finish a thought. In frustration they jump to the “conclusion” and look exasperated.
I recall a couple of minute session with my aunt were she was searching for words, trying to put sentences together, and seeing physical signs of frustration…and she just ended with, “I don’t like hats.” It was tough to watch.
This is what happened with the “We beat Medicare” stream of consciousness the other night.
Biden is toast. Anyone who has been around him for more than a few minutes knows this. But they want to deny it because no one wants to call the people in the white coats.

This is nothing new to people who have been paying attention. Biden was a mental cripple when he was “elected.”
