Actually, I think it's beyond that a little. If the only thing you did to become an American citizen was to be born, you'd be considered a "natural born citizen" by virtually any court at any level. And that would include children born to military personnel ordered to serve in a location outside the physical boundaries of the United States.

If this plays out, she’s bounced based on not being a U.S. citizen at all.
And here the two of you are hell bent on preserving her NBC status, regardless of her apparent non-citizen status.
