Representative Chip Roy (R-Texas), who has previously endorsed Florida Governor Ron Desantis, is now seemingly attempting to undermine his own party by proposing a resolution urging Kamala Harris to initiate proceedings under the 25th Amendment to declare Joe Biden unfit for office.

I think the NBC ship has sailed.
In practical terms, if democrats have the power to go 25th and want to do it, they will do it regardless.
If not, they will not.
This is kind-of the ‘24 version of Operation Chaos.
I’m no Chip Roy fan.
The plan is what it is.
Roy’s trustworthiness is immaterial.
1. Biden is demented. He should be removed for office for that reason.
2. The Democrats and their media partners have lied terribly and put America at risk.
It helps the GOP politically if everyone is discussing these two things.
The fact that we are debating a process for removal of the President, shows that the NBC debate is now more relevant than ever.
Since when has the GOP had a strategy?
Post-Obama? C’mon, man! If the Dems want her gone, it might be raised. Otherwise...fuggedaboutit.

Harris won’t go the 25th route unless she is sure she has the votes and she doesn’t. I’ll bet not a single cabinet member would vote to remove him. As long as the President is as functional as Biden is i.e. not comatose or drooling (all the time at least) he is able to execute the duties of the office.
Besides, this is a political play and Harris has no political power at all compared to Biden. If she aims for the king and misses, her future is over. She wouldn’t have the votes at this time at least.
Chip Roy is doing the right thing.
Yeah. Let’s just keep the conversation going, talking about his unfitness to serve in front of him, like he’s not there. Someone with his personality hates it when people are dismissive of them. He might snap.
Wrong; Roy is correct in that it is plausible that he is too ill to serve. It is too risky to leave him in office for almost 7 more months. Biden should be removed under the 25th Amendment if he is this ill and Harris should assume the Presidency.
LEAVE THE DEMOCRATS ALONE AND LET THEM SELF DESTRUCT. IF WE INTERFERE THEY WILL FOCUS ON US.
Biden obviously doesn’t make any meaningful decisions. He is not running the country and never has from Day One.
The only decision he makes, maybe, is what flavor ice cream he gets to slobber all over himself.

Chip Roy can talk a good talk and I had high hopes for him just after he as elected. But watch what he DOES and how he votes. Either he was a snake in the grass from the beginning or someone got to him.
Bribery, Extortion, or Blackmail. It’s usually one of the three.
If Biden doesn’t wish to go, he can fight the 25th Amendment. If he does, it would take 2/3 of BOTH chambers to remove him. It’s actually more difficult than impeachment.
