OHHHH NO! I’ve been telling you all whoever is advising him is trying to stab the golden goose! There’s only three choices that I can think of …Vivek, McDonalds, and Robinson these three are a force to be reckoned with and this is what Trump needs! It’s going to be extremely disappointing if he chooses youngkin, Rubio (oh God no), and Burgman(sp?). Those three my opinion can be easily convinced to backstab him. Let’s choose somebody away from politics or the DC swamp. Another sorta Trump would be nice for VP. Those three add absolutely nothing to the ticket . If Trump chooses any of these three he better be watching his back because for sure the FBI,CIA and the DOJ will John F. Kennedy him!

Youngkin would not be on my short list, but there are many worse choices.

There just isn’t anyone that really stands out as a slam dunk pick. Desantis should have been the slam dunk, but he turned on Trump and self immolated himself in the process. Never seen anyone destroy their career in such a quick, idiotic fashion as meatball did.

I’d prefer Rubio. He also puts VA in play, is also not MAGA but has a good ear, acknowledges MAGA and it’s power Nd is willing to give MAGA the respect it has earned. He’s a strong voice on thr immigration criticism because of his willingness in the past to find a dolution and on foreign policy his critiques bite. I’m not sure if he passes the January 7th test but beyond that he would be a solid “unity” pick.

I hope not. I hate it when popular GOP governors and Senators are plunked from their office for some federal role and putting that office in play, possibly - depending on succeeding candidates - and maybe risking a Dim victory for it.

Youngkin was a lame duck the moment he was elected. Virginia only allows single consecutive terms as governor. He would be leaving his governorship to his Lt. Governor (a solid, conservative Republican) for one year. Someone else was going to have to run in 2025 as it was.

True but AZ is more likely to come back to the fold than NV. The way the Lost Wages hotels empty out the staff every Election Day and the casino cabal corral all the migras and families into voting (at least it's same-day voting, but still), make NV tenuous.

We would be far, far more likely to flip MI (and elect Rogers) if this is 2016 plus a near-total rejection of the Zombie.

Let Biden have the women who don't want to be mothers. Let Trump make a play for the women who love their children more than they dislike Trump.

So, it means picking Youngkin would not be removing a succesful GOP office holder eligbile for running for their immediate next term. OK.

Now then, that just leaves if he would make “the best” choice Trump can make.
