Youngkin immediately becomes the odds-on 2024 favorite over DeSantis if Trump picks Younkin as VP.

This would be an absolute gift to Youngkin who would not have to find something to do for two years after his gubernatorial term ends in 2026 and before he launches a 2028 presidential campaign.

Youngkin comes from the business world like Trump, so I would expect Trump to view that favorably in his decision making process if he is truly making a strategic governing pick vs. a sycophantic groupie like Tim Scott.

The VP pick won’t please everybody, but Youngkin is a respectable candidate considering he is the governor of a blue state. Younkin has a lot of private world experience, just like Trump. Also he is not a life long politician, which is a plus. Go for it!
