Based on the most recent release of the early benchmarks, payroll jobs declined by 32,000 from September 2023 through December 2023. On the contrary, the preliminary monthly reports showed a solid increase in job growth (+117,000 jobs) at the time. With the fourth quarter revision, calendar year 2023 saw essentially no net job growth (+9,000 jobs overall). Data since January 2024 has not yet been rebenched. As such, the figure includes the Early Benchmark Revision for these recent months growing at the same rate as the official CES estimates.
Given Calfornia’s burdersome taxes and regulations, not to mention $20 per hour for fast food workers, it is not surrprising that job growth in California has been minimal.

As a side note to this thread, consider that 10,000 minimum wage Californians have lost their jobs in 2024 due to failed socialist utopian escapism (vote buying) high minimum wage.

Since corrupt Congress has repeatedly proven that it unconcerned if the states don't have constitutionally guaranteed republican form of government, it is now up to Democratic and Republican Trump supporters to effectively "impeach and remove" Congress in November, supporting hopeful Trump 47 with a new, Constitution-respecting Congress, not only so that he will not be a lame duck president from the first day of his second term, but will support him to quickly finish draining the swamp.
What is it?...Lies, damn lies, and statistics. Something like that....California was lying all the time..
FYI: Most of the jobs and unemployment numbers from the government are lies. Don’t depend on them in calculating your future financial outlook.
