“When I woke up this morning at 7:00—I was getting picked up at 7:45—Patrick, my fiancé, tried to pull me by my waist over this morning in bed, and I was like, ‘No, baby, we don’t got time for that this morning,’” said Mace at the beginning of her speech. “‘I got to get to the prayer breakfast, and I got to be on time.’” The crowd laughed as she said it was a “little TMI,” adding, “He can wait…I’ll see him later tonight.”

In response to the criticism she said this:

That day, Mace responded to the backlash on Twitter, saying, “I go to church because I’m a sinner not because I’m a saint! Glad those in attendance, including @SenatorTimScott and our pastor, took this joke in stride. Pastor Greg and I will have a little extra to talk about on Sunday now.” Later, she tweeted, “My fiancé is not upset but he did suggest I go to church twice this Sunday. See y’all at the 8:30 and the 11:30!”

Sin should not be amusing. And she apparently thought it was entirely about joking about the behavior vs. the behavior itself that people had an issue with. This is no different than putting off going to the bar and getting drunk and joking about how you put it off because you had to speak at the prayer breakfast and you would do that afterward.

Fredrick won 2022 by 10 points 55-45. The district voted for Biden 52-46. That was 2020. Should he be more conservative than he is? You tell me. The backstabbing of Trump should only occur in purple districts. Trump can handle it. Still there’s the chance the gop voters could front-stab Fitzpatrick in November. We need an example or two(Mace).

I assume that was meant to be in response to my post 21 vs. post 23. Post 23 was about the fact this information put out by “Citizen Free Press” is false - it claimed if those 9 Republicans had not voted for the contempt resolution it would not have passed. That is false.

With regard to post 21, that’s really a separate matter vs. electoral politics and I was responding to another post.

Perhaps...but, despite the comments by “Citizen Free Press”, their votes in this case did not change the outcome. Move all of them out of the “Yes” column into the “No” column on this vote and it still would have passed.

“Without these votes, Bannon would not be facing prison” is simply not true.

You would be wrong on both counts. My comment was to everyone in general. You just happened to be there when I posted.
