This all leads in a very bad direction. But I really don’t see people talking about the Big Picture here.

"No human needs to do that stuff". Or to phrase it a bit more clearly, "No humans are needed".

The Big Picture is that our "elites" have decided they want to eliminate 95% of the human population and rule with unrestrained powers over the remnant peasantry. AI offers them a hope that this is possible, and they can still retain their lives of luxury provided by a high-tech civilization.

It is all a mirage, of course. It takes a large number of very smart people to maintain technology and those people are too hard for the elites to control. So, they want to deal with fewer of them. But "High-Technology" falls apart quickly when there are not enough smart people to maintain it. That is starting to happen now. There might still be time to correct the problem.

AI cannot do most of the things that it will be blamed for doing. Corporate layoffs attributed to AI implementations? No, that is just an excuse to let the executives off the hook. Large organizations accumulate people in obsolete, useless, or even harmful jobs over time and require purges.

Elon Musk fired 75% of the employees at Twitter, and the company is still running about as well as it did before. Maybe slightly better. Where did the discarded people go?

The elites do not really care. And if it all falls apart, they do not care about that either. They will give up luxury as long as they can retain unchecked power. The system can collapse in a pile of burning rubble as long as they are on top of the pile. That is the really ugly part of "The Big Picture".

So-called “modern art” is really a part of the communist agenda, and it can also be used for money laundering. Some people get sucked in as a form of virtue signaling, which us what I was referencing. I could probably paint a picture of my front yard as it sits right now and call it “Still Life with Tools, Trenches and Irrigation Supplies” and sell it for a cool million to some pointy-headed art lover. 😆

I do like art, and even have a limited series Nagel print hanging above the workbench in my shop, so I’m not a complete Philistine. I even play music in a worship group. Plus, I can’t stand hip-hop and rap. I think listening to that stuff causes brain damage.

This post should give you an idea of what I enjoy:

I can't argue that it is used by politician like Biden (and Hunter) for money laundering. But that is an infinitesimal part of modern art.

And the statement that modern art is in general a communist plot is downright idiotic (though some communists may use it for such purposes).

It is typical Dunning-Kruger effect for people who are ignorant on a subject to assume they are experts.

I agree with that.

The current propaganda about food -- eat bugs not beef. Let's get rid of cows. They fart.
The current propaganda about energy -- let's make much less electricity while also switching everything in the world to only work on electrical power.
The current propaganda about jobs -- hey, almost all jobs will be eliminated, but don't worry about it.

It seems to me that if people really think about where The Powers That Be are taking us, it is a world that really only supports a very small population. That is exactly what they want.

Just needs enough computing power to crunch all the information.

You spelled "infinite electricity" wrong.

And Moore's Law is going to make the business very, very cutthroat, with demands for IMMEDIATE profit before the next cycle of hardware optimization makes a company's current setup obsolete.
