On Tuesday, June 18, Julian, 61, — the son of Beatles legend John Lennon and his first wife Cynthia — marked Paul McCartney’s 82nd birthday with a special message on X (formerly known as Twitter).
“Hoppy Birdy, Uncle Paul! Only love… Jude x,” Julian’s caption read as he shared a video montage of himself as a child with McCartney.
Played alongside The Beatles’ classic “Hey Jude,” the first photo featured a younger McCartney sitting beside Julian on the grass.
The pair were then pictured walking together before the video switched to a snap of them playing on the shoreline by the sea.
The video finished with a photo of McCartney carrying a little Julian.

Thanks for the link.
I am old. I remember the Ed Sullivan appearance like it was 20 years ago (LOL).
In some of the linked photos, some of the children do not look happy to be there... could’ve been just a bad shot.
I marvel when I see kids today (REM. I’m old... “kids today” is what we say), with Beatles Tee shirts, etc. It makes me think, “Yes. Their music is timeless.”
When I’m 64 plus 18.
My 11 year old nephew loves The Beatles.
I take it 10 years ago your wife was 64?
"When I get older..."
I am 74 now.
Fair enough.
Yeah Yeah Yeah!
Good one!
Well Paul’s old and quite stupid... So there’s that.
I love the Beatles. They serenaded me through high school. Then I got tired of them. But years later I found myself once again loving these guys and their music.
Anybody have a video of a current McCartney? I’m willing to bet he’s aged better than Joe, but what do I know.
As the Fleetwood Mac lyrics say:
… Well, I’ve been ‘fraid of changin’
‘Cause I’ve built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I’m gettin’ older, too
I’m gettin’ older, too
At least Paul is over that ‘dating girls with one leg’ thing he had going on. He’s probably still getting prosthetic legs thrown in his direction when he’s on stage. Those women are relentless.
And remember Tom Jones... You sniff one pair of panties and then boom... They’re throwing them at you like there’s no tomorrow.
Well Yoko is 91, she looked 91 back in the late 60’s.
No video but I first saw him perform live with The Beatles when he was just 24, they did a 35 minute show. The saw him live again five years ago at age 77 and he did a 3 1/2 hour long show. Only sat down to play the piano, he's in great shape.
Paul Meatless Monday McCartney. Lennon & McCartney were great songwriters. The Beatles were a tremendous band. Each individual was very talented on their own.
