I hope SpaceX can start building jets.
Seems like Boeing is done.
Hey, it’s no big deal, Boeing is busy with pride month.
I would not want to have been on that flight. Close call.
Practicing for uncontrolled flight into terrain.
DEI?
“””The memo noted that the pilot opted to put the “newer” first officer in command of the 100-mile interisland flight despite the pending weather.
The less-experienced first officer “inadvertently” pushed forward on the control column before cutting the speed, causing the airplane to descend rapidly.”””
This was a “diversity” pilot, not the aircraft.
“The memo noted that the pilot opted to put the “newer” first officer in command of the 100-mile interisland flight despite the pending weather.

Maybe they should hire pilots who have received their private pilots license and know which way to push the yoke.
Boeing had nothing to do with this.
The Pilot Flying (PF) - in this case the First Officer (FO) - screwed up a call to fly the Missed Approach as is clear from the text of the article. It’s a routine thing in weather.
So the incident was pilot error or maybe worse, but they slander the plane manufacturer in the headline.
The expensive part is replacement of all the seats in the aircraft.
It was co-pilot induced though.
I bet it’s a DEI hire as they refuse to give the flight number or crew names.
If Boeing had someone other than a DEI communications hire, they should be pointing out that weather conditions and pilot error are not the fault of the manufacturer.
That is quite a drop. A lot of people had a capable pilot at the helm in the final analysis.
Where was the captain?
A 16,000 ft descent takes 4 minutes at 4,000 ft per minute. More to this story than just a possible DEI F/O.
The guy or dame in the left seat should be summarily fired..no excuse for a departure from controlled flight.
Causing that kind of altitude gain/loss?
But they still had to get Boeing in the headlines for those who don't read any farther....or don't care to...
A quick read of the link seemed to indicate that perhaps there might have been some pilot error involved. Don’t know, but I’m far past trying to get useful info on articles written about anything to do with science and technology written by mere journalists.
“Journalist” gibberish that tells us nothing from an actual aviation standpoint. That sentence doesn’t make any sense without a lot more context.
Bet that was a thrilling ride!
So now Boing is guilty of the weather?
Take a look at Flight 24/7. The sky is full of Boing jets, so the companies that buy their jets are forced to hire unqualified people and when things go wrong it’s an all out attack on Boing.
Kind of reminds me of the anti-gun journalists.
