I hope SpaceX can start building jets.

Seems like Boeing is done.

I would not want to have been on that flight. Close call.

"...dropped from nearly 16,000 feet to an altitude of 409 feet."

Practicing for uncontrolled flight into terrain.

DEI?

“””The memo noted that the pilot opted to put the “newer” first officer in command of the 100-mile interisland flight despite the pending weather.

The less-experienced first officer “inadvertently” pushed forward on the control column before cutting the speed, causing the airplane to descend rapidly.”””

This was a “diversity” pilot, not the aircraft.

This is pilot error .

The plane did what it should and maybe we should even be impressed that it held together.

737s are not designed for aerobatics

Maybe they should hire pilots who have received their private pilots license and know which way to push the yoke.

Boeing had nothing to do with this.

The Pilot Flying (PF) - in this case the First Officer (FO) - screwed up a call to fly the Missed Approach as is clear from the text of the article. It’s a routine thing in weather.

So the incident was pilot error or maybe worse, but they slander the plane manufacturer in the headline.

This is a pilot error incident nothing to do with the plane.

Bad title.

Probably a DEI hire by Sougthwest.

Boeing is under intense scrutiny from Mayor Buttgigg to meet its DEI mandates.

Do drag queens make good airplanes?

The expensive part is replacement of all the seats in the aircraft.

It was co-pilot induced though.

I bet it’s a DEI hire as they refuse to give the flight number or crew names.

If Boeing had someone other than a DEI communications hire, they should be pointing out that weather conditions and pilot error are not the fault of the manufacturer.

That is quite a drop. A lot of people had a capable pilot at the helm in the final analysis.
