PANIC: Atlantic writer begs Biden to step down, compares him to RBG for hanging on too long
Not The Bee ^ | June 12, 2024 | Harris Rigby

Have I mentioned that the Democrats and the media, but I repeat myself, have largely entered full-on panic mode over Joe Biden??

The latest outcry from the Left comes from the pages of The Atlantic, and, I've gotta say, this one is pretty harsh.

They headlined this "Ruth Bader Biden."

Leftists have held onto a grudge against one of their favorite Supreme Court Justices, the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg, because she refused to retire while Obama was still in the White House to allow him to appoint her successor. Then Trump had the chance to replace her instead.

The Atlantic's Mark Leibovich is painting President Biden with that same brush.

He doesn't mince words.

But here is a broader thematic reality for the president: Bad vibes have been the persistent feature of his campaign. No matter the obstacles Trump creates for himself, Biden remains a comprehensively weak incumbent, weighed down by the same liabilities that burdened him from the start, beginning with the largest, and completely unfixable, one: At 81, he is much too old to run for president. Durable supermajorities of voters still do not want any part of Biden at this age.

His bullheaded insistence on doing something no one has ever done (Ronald Reagan, then the oldest president in American history, was 77 when he retired), along with the unwillingness or inability of Democrats to stop him, remains an existentially risky, potentially disastrous, proposition. The stakes remain appallingly high. If Biden loses in November, that's all anyone will remember him for.

Tell us how you REALLY feel, Mark!!

The author doesn't want to endure four more years of Donald Trump, what with the economic prosperity, world peace, and mean tweets.

So he's blaming Biden's bullheadedness if that happens. Again, this is from The Atlantic!!

In its ongoing effort to console nervous Democrats, Bidenworld keeps trotting out its usual barrage of ‘Don't worry,' ‘Voters haven't really tuned in yet,' and ‘There's still plenty of time left.' It is now June. Is this reassurance or wishful thinking? Does Biden's team have any coherent message about what he hopes to accomplish in a second term, apart from thwarting Trump and staying alive?

...

It is too late for Democrats to do anything about their predicament now, barring some 11th-hour event that triggers an extremely unlikely swap-out of nominees at the Democratic National Convention. Trump and his party keep pushing further beyond the bounds of what would have been unthinkable even a year ago.

Trump 2024 is starting to feel inevitable to the Left.

Their problem is they have nobody better. If they had a better candidate, they’ve have pushed Biden out the door long ago.

They can’t skip over heels up Harris without alienated Black women - their most dedicated voters.

Who would they replace her with? Big Mike has zero charisma and HATES politics and hates people.....Newsome looks like American Psycho and California is a train wreck.....Blacks won’t vote for Buttplug. They have nobody.

But can they select Gavin Newsom, who’s now presiding over a state with serious crime issues in urban areas, rampant homelessless, and now restaurants closing at a very high rate?

What the guy is saying is, “Hey, Joe, for the good of the party you need to step down.” Joe and every other Democrat I’ve ever read about doesn’t care one flying monkey fart about the party, the country, or anything other than himself. RBG was asked by an interviewer if she’d consider stepping down. Her incensed answer was a shocked, “And just who do you think can do my job?!” I thought, wow, what an astonishingly self-centered egotistical woman. And the next thought was, you go Girl! Hang on until there’s a Republican in office. Many times, in my working career, there was someone running a department or the entire company who was well past his best-by. They hung on until they destroyed the thing they were running, or they died at their desk. People like that, Nacy Pelosi, RBG, Obama, consider themselves so important that if they aren’t running things then those things might as well die.

Scott would not help with the black vote. He would be savaged by race-baiting black leaders as an uncle tom.

Factor in ObLahMao’s behind the scenes shadow government puppeteers pulling on Sleepy’s strings. They wont have the same level of ‘power’ over any other candidate. They riding with Sleepy and hoping the vote fraud cheat mechanisms comes to fruition. Or some other nasty surprise they may cook up.

“Newsome looks like American Psycho.”

LOL! I needed a good laugh.

And what you said is true. He reminds me of a dishonest used car salesman, but “American Psycho” is more accurate.

I don’t think Biden reads “The Atlantic” these days, “Highlights” is more his speed.

False flag black ops? I don’t think you’re the only one thinking that at this point.

I don’t like TS, I think he’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing, saying what people want to hear, but his loyalties lie elsewhere.

So assuming Trump wins in November, we will hear liberals call for all left-wing Supreme Court justices to step down, so that Biden (or the one pulling his strings) can name their successors.

I think that the best choice would be Rubio or Scott. Both of them are qualified, but Rubio has more charisma and is a brilliant orator and debater. Also, he is Hispanic and Trump will want to go after the Hispanic vote. There are more Hispanic voters now than black voters. On the other hand, most of them are in reliably blue or reliably red states. The black voters are more important in the swing states, and Trump wants to chisel away at the black vote. But here is the most strategic reason to choose Scott. Think about what happens if the Dems need to replace Biden, which I think is very likely. If Trump chooses Scott, then they will have no real choice but to choose a black candidate. I suppose they might try to put the black candidate in the VP spot, but that will inevitably anger some Dems. Most likely, they’d choose Harris. That would be a mistake. If they put Newsom at the top of the ticket, that would be even more problematic. They could put Whitmer at the top of the ticket and Harris in VP, but then they’d have an all female ticket. That would be problematic. My guess is they’d choose Harris for the top of the ticket and try to balance it by choosing a white male for VP. Scott creates a dilemma for them.
