It’s time for me to do something that pundits seldom do: Flat out admit I was wrong.
This is a rarity in the commentating world. But boy, was I.
Here goes: I was wrong about Sen. John Fetterman.
Writing in The Post on Valentine’s Day in 2023, I opined that Pennsylvania’s new US Senator lacked the mental and physical abilities needed to serve.
According to reports, he couldn’t understand voices, had trouble walking and generally wasn’t up to the job.
The mainstream press rallied to protect him (there was a D next to his name, after all), but even a New York Times puff piece admitted that to Fetterman, voices sounded like the adults in the “Peanuts” cartoons — indecipherable noise — and that his health problems had left him with “physical impairment and serious mental health challenges.”
But that was a rare concession. After NBC’s Dasha Burns interviewed him both live and on camera, she said Fetterman didn’t seem to be able to follow their conversation.
That revelation got Burns dogpiled by lefty activists and fellow journalists (to the extent there’s a difference nowadays) amid charges of “ableism” and the like. She was denounced on the air by her own network’s Savannah Guthrie and in the pages of the Times.
From all this, I concluded that Fetterman was just going to be a party tool — shepherded around by his staff, told how to vote by handlers, an institutionally pliable vote for the Democratic Party and the leftist activists who control it.

He was correct at the time of the assessment.
Tried to tell folks Fetterman was never what the RNC parrots and pundits told you he was. He is a liberal and a democrat but he was never the whackadoo leftist Hannity and the other flappy lipped parrots told you he was.
Was called every name in the book for pointing this out… because you know, the guy who’s actually watched his career for decades and seen him in action and met him a few times.. that guy, he doesn’t know anything, the punditry who’s entire experience in PA is they drove the turnpike once, they know better.
Hope those folks will be wiser next time.
OZ was the absolute worst candidate I have ever seen in Pa to run for statewide office in my life.. yet folks swallowed that that POS was great… idiotic.
He also got away for that commie wife of his.
s/b He also got away from that commie wife of his.
Dr. Oz is a Turk so he'll be pro-Hamas.

Can’t disagree with that. I blame Hannity somewhat for his pro-Oz lobbying that resulted in Oz getting the nomination.
At the time of that election Fettermen was impaired and SHOULD not have run for office.
He had surgery or something.
So this writer wasn’t necessarily wrong at the time.
If someone is able to post the meme of Festerman and the sequence of tried doppelgängers to this guy.
Catturd even posted the miracle of his stroke changing his head shape and facial features.
*Note that Festerman’s wife is no longer in public view.
He’s a Democrat, but he thinks for himself.
Yeah.
OZ was an absolute POS candidate, anyone still defending, in any way, the attempt to install that man into the senate are absolutely lacking in moral clarity and integrity.
Carpet bagging, lying Fraud, card carrying member of the WEF… absolutely clueless and tone deaf. The RNC were moronic to think he could win, even with Fettermen’s health issues.
The more than 100M wasted trying to put lipstick on that pig, cost the GOP countless house races where that money would have made a difference.
The pure truth is, like it or not Fetterman was not what the conned their gullible faithful into believing he was in their failed attempt to install OZ.
I am all for defeating a democrat, but not if the replacement is just a lying fraudulent sack of crap, who will simply be another RINO (at best) if they win. Once in office you are stuck with them for multiple cycles..and the GOP sure as hell won’t change if it can keep running frauds like OZ and “winning” with them.
MCCormick is better but not by much, he’s a card carrying member of the WEF as well, and owned by the globalists and Wall Street, even though his ads would make you believe otherwise. Casey is getting long in the tooth, and has never faced a truly strong competitor to date… GOP has largely just refused to take the field during his cycles.. offering up little more than token candidates and efforts. However Casey is also an institution and generally keeps his head down and away from the heavily controversial radical left wing goobledegook.
MCCormick on his own likely can’t win, not against Casey, however Trump’s coattails may be enough to send Casey packing. If Trump wins the state solidly, then MCCormick may get dragged over the finish line.. if Trump loses PA, I would say odds MCCOrmick is victorious are well under 50%.
PA establishment GOP of course believe otherwise, they believe MCCormick will outperform Trump.. but they believed that about OZ too.. we shall see if they are right.
If they are wrong it will be another cycle where the GOP establishment of PA and their Uniparty drivers are shown to be wrong… but it won’t matter they will never ever actually allow or go all in on a strong truly conservative candidate for any major office ever. Until the gop of pas leadership is forcibly changed feckless rinos are all that are allowed
I would never trust Fetterman he joined the democrat party for a reason he knew what road he would be taking he has front in play period.
