When the rule of law goes it’s over.
The jury of 12 New Yorkers found that Trump violated the law by falsifying business records to cover up a $130,000 payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election. They found him guilty on all 34 counts he faced.
Unless there is a federal law issue, the SCOTUS has no say. It is the NY state courts that will hear the appeal.

Not a lawyer but a case can be made that they have violated his Constitutional rights (which is how the Supreme Court gets involved in state legal issues).
You’re right. The Revolution and Civil War are not living memories, and people without a sense of history assume that the republic is on auto-pilot but will never crash
The Supreme Court has to intervene, because this a is a clear case of election interference, as a result that creates a Constitutional crisis.
??
You are right, as "cleanup" is traditionally the 4th batter.
NY District Court was 1st, with Merchan batting.
NY Appellate Court will bat 2nd.
NY Appeals Court will bat 3rd.
SCOTUS will bat 4th, or cleanup.
That should be some time in 2025 or 2026. The verdict only has to survive until Nov 5th.
Seems the Cartels spent billions of dollars to keep the borders open by buying the American Gov’t. They own the Dems, Judicial Branch, Legislative Branch and Executive Branch. They need Obozo/Biden and Dems to stay in office because they know Trump will seal the border and damage the Cartels operations.
“Bush v Gore there was an emergency appeal to the USSC that overruled a Florida supreme Court ruling. Don’t think it’s just a New York matter. USSC will rule on constitutional issues over state courts.”
Yes - from the Florida Supreme Court. This isn’t going to see the SCOTUS until after the New York Court of Appeals decides what to do:
28 USC 1257:
(a) Final judgments or decrees rendered by the highest court of a State in which a decision could be had, may be reviewed by the Supreme Court by writ of certiorari where the validity of a treaty or statute of the United States is drawn in question or where the validity of a statute of any State is drawn in question on the ground of its being repugnant to the Constitution, treaties, or laws of the United States, or where any title, right, privilege, or immunity is specially set up or claimed under the Constitution or the treaties or statutes of, or any commission held or authority exercised under, the United States.
No procedure exists to take it from any other State Court.
From their primary objective to “get Trump”, our judicial system has gone the way of America’s medical industry during the Fauci Flu debacle: Both have lost all credibility and must never, ever be trusted again.
“This is going to drastically impair Trumps chances. His polls are going to plummet.”
Two things:
1. His campaign will raise $10m to $20m by this time tomorrow.
2. His poll numbers will rise AMONG DEMOCRATS.
You watch.
Emergency stays for SCOTUS:

Don’t worry. Biden’s thermonuclear war will solve everything.
Now when the debates are held all that will come out of Biden’s mouth will be “convicted felon, Donald Trump>”
14 New Yorkers (Bragg, Marchan, and the 12 jurors) are allowed to decide who can be President of the United States?
I’d be guessing that each and every one of them were presented with the repercussions of what their potential not-guilty vote would be.
I am waiting to hear statements from Trump and SCOTUS, and a long list of others that should be outraged as well.
At least in New York. We should keep in mind that not all states are alike.
What on earth would make you have any doubt that they would stoop this low? You’d better buckle up, because you have no idea how low they can go, how corrupt they are, how evil they can be… This is only the beginning.
