If they are smart they go back to India.

Never be the outsider in a civil unrest.

I have tried to tell this to people who talk about how they are going to move to some other country and live happily ever after.

They don't read history apparently.

“the View”

Actually kind of. They are part of the left’s pro democracy big government morons.
They need someone to tell them what to think...and most importantly when to applaud.

The oil is in red states, as are the primary refineries. Imports easy to interdict. So food can’t move to city shelves and the war would end in 1 week with very few deaths.

I doubt that. Once city dwellers get 15 from home, they will lose all form of support. They will be on their own and will be easy pickings.

Do you think these rich blue cities will just sit in their cold apartments and wither away(well, most will)
No, they will organize their armies and seize the energy supply (Nuclear, hydro, gas etc and expensive whatever lives it takes to secure and maintain that supply.

Millions will die in these areas but millions more will die in the suburbs and rural areas where electricity will be cut off and food denied because of transportation and production interruption.
Think the blue areas will allow food to be killed and packaged? Think again
Most wouldn’t know how to turn wheat or corn into flour and cattle herds don’t jump into the meat grinder by themselves!
Herds would be decimated by the nearest blue areas anyway. At a cost, sure but urbanites have lots of surplus mouths to eliminate anyway.
It will be a bloody mess and then we die.

My view is that the cities would take on themselves; I would expect a total civil breakdown in the event that there is a shortage of food or the heat and electricity shuts off. This ain’t London in 1940, Paris in 1914 or Vicksburg in 1863. I would imagine there would be little tolerance for discomfort of any type in the modern urban areas and the wealthy would be the most intolerant - can’t imagine the ladies of the Upper East Side New York doing required manual labor of any type. I hope none of this ever happens; it would be horrible.

It’s not easy to create a group of people to go on a almost certain suicide mission.
Especially when your favorite TV show conflicts with the mission.

Not at all sure “most of the military will be on our side.” I spend a lot of time with Marines and sailors on active duty, and my impression is they will follow orders. They’re nearly all careerists now, as the reenlistment rates quickly show.

No, they will organize their armies

What armies?

The gangs? The ones that throw around hundreds of bullets to kill one kid three blocks over who was not involved in their dispute?

The police who, sadly have pretty much the same problem?

And where are their supplies coming from?

Who are they going to get to run the power?

did you mean, “guerilla” warfare? Gorillas don’t do wars. They are usually pretty mellow among themselves. Sit around, hunting fleas off each other, eating fruit...

Likely, there won’t be any money left in social security. It’s owing to Trump’s period of economic growth that the fund isn’t empty already.

Seems to me the Islamic invasion has come to the US starting with the universities and then probably spread to government offices and the people here are too clueless to recognize what is happening.

We're in it now.

It started in the summer of 2020.

Where we are now is what it looks like.

Did someone expect a formal declaration of civil war?

The Union is “perpetual and indivisible,” so the only way out of it for states wanting that option will be violence. The law won’t support it, nor will basic nationalism.

We should expect the Sedition Act to be vigorously enforced against any of us making the attempt.

We’ve been in a cold civil war since 1865.

Someone should do a series on Matt Bracken’s three books. That would really get folks thinking...
