They are doing this so that Jeffries can become majority leader and he can get passed in congress that Trump cannot run for President because he committed “insurrection”
And we need to rise to the occasion by getting Trump in by a landslide and keeping the R majority in the House at the very least, so we can put the Deep State creeps in jail and/or Gitmo for a very, very long time.
That’s how we change things so we are once again a representative form of government. Until we do that it’s just Deep State puppets selling the people and Constitution out every chance they get.
Posey looks like a pretty solid conservative. Pro-life, Pro-2A, etc. The only folks who seem to be unhappy with him are Planned Parenthood and other left-wingers, and Free Republic Assistant Democrats who take every chance to bash Republicans.
Business as usual around here. Both Posey and Haridopolos appear to be pretty conservative. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a plan by Posey to prevent the party from shoving a RINO in through the primary, or damaging Haridopolos. As FL Senate President, he likely made some enemies.

But what we need right now are not necessarily just people who are social conservatives, or even fiscal conservatives, although those things are definitely better than the alternative.
What we need are people who recognize the Deep State as a true existential enemy of this Republic. I long for the days when politics can be about policy. As it is right now it’s not; it is about all our systems being taken over by the Deep State and Intel Community thugs. And until we make it past this existential threat, the normal policy-making is hostage.
With all the pointless turmoil the House GOP caused they have proven themselves a bunch of children and unable to govern. Meanwhile, the Dems have kept their powder dry and even rescued the House from further turmoil.
Who wins the House depends on how Independents see that mess and are willing to take another chance that GOP can produce adults.

Posey is among the best. A true, low profile conservative. Didn’t realize he was that age. His district should be solid red.
This is coordinated for sure to try and give the House to the democrats this November. Such late announcements gives the conservative GOP voters little chance to find and promote a candidate for the seat.
I’m not sure if it is blackmail, bribery, or extortion (all three?) but someone is making it “worth their while” to step down and not run for these seats again.
Maybe take a step back. The guy is 76, maybe he wants to spend time with family while he has time left. With elections every two years, House members are basically running for re-election non-stop, got to be tiring.. He’s in a solid Red FL district.

If that’s the case then I hope the guy who worked with him will be also. It sounds like time has run out for anybody else to run so I’m glad his colleague will take his place on the ballot.
