Will the illegal immigrants partake in the loot-loot-rioting too?
A popular science fiction novel has been made into a pair of recent movies. The template doesn't fit, but how long before it is hijacked (as Star Wars was) and the square peg pounded into the round hole? I wonder because I see imagery of kids wearing these [I call them PLO bandanas] and what they'll wrap themselves in next in a misguided and misinformed attempt at "solidarity."

This is not the America our founding fathers envisioned. What they fought against was a walk in the park compared to the world today.
The guy makes a point that I always try to hit on and is obviously true.
Our society is very faddish / trendy and prone to taking these trends to extreams.
Much of what we claim to be environmentalism, national security, for public education, disease control has at least in part a degree of social fad, sometimes fueled by politics and business (power and money) and little to do with the cause they claim to be supporting. Yes, even being anti-Israel or pro-Ukraine, Covid, much of this LGBTQIA stuff floating out there today has all the classic signs of being a fad and having been sold to the public no different than when bell-bottom pants were in.
