IMHO we’re facing a slow boil type of control. In other words, we don’t see it coming because it’s happening gradually enough that we think things like “oh well, it’ll be stopped before it gets too bad, maybe the next election...”.
I agree, this is why we don’t see it so much in our faces yet.
It’s coming however.
The masses don’t see a lot of what’s coming, not so much because it’s happening gradually, but, because SO MANY THINGS ARE HAPPENING, SO FAST.
It’s all a distraction as part of their plan.
Something that I think doesn't get talked about enough. I grew up in the 70s and 80s and things were pretty free and open. There was almost no fear. What could go wrong?
Older Baby Boomer may say that the 50s were even better. Fine. But as older people fade away and become a smaller percentage of the population, an increasingly dominant view is going to be basically a post-9/11 and post-Obama worldview -- You can't do that! You can't do this! Did you get permission! Hey, this security check is for your own protection! You have to comply! Everyone has to follow the rules!
For young people, all of that is the "new normal" and the people who remember when America was the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave are all going away.
Once it's gone, it's not coming back. The people in charge of things expect to have perfect control over the peasants, and they are likely to succeed.
