My computer keeps popping up messages from http://squipisioncha.co.in -- which I'm sure is a hacker site -- claiming to be McAfee (which I don't have) claiming it's trying to fix a virus & invasion.
Also, every time I try to make an original post on Facebook, I get "Your post is being processed. We'll let you know when it's ready to view." I can share mems an memories. I can comment. I cannot type an original post. How do I fix these problems?

Yes. Which is why I mentioned the System Restore. It’s a better than even odds situation that there are no traditional type backups. Whether it’s a disk image or a series of fulls and incrementals. Most folks don’t do that type of thing.

They don’t usually have the disk space. But they may be lucky and have the option turned on, and taken a backup and keep that for emergencies.

I’ve only ever used Apple computers, and have never gotten a pop-up of that type from anyone. I do occasionally get fake McAfee emails claiming my account has expired, blah, blah, blah. I have never had McAfee installed on anyy of my Apple computers. The emails usually end up in my Junk mail. I’ve written special rules in Apple’s email program to automatically delete them based on the subject of the email, but every so often, they’ll send another email with a different subject title, and then I’ll create a new rule for that one too, and it be automatically deleted.

I recently bought a new computer and found out that McAfee was not easily deleted (and it was responsible for all kinds of unwanted messages). I don't know if this is your problem, but I ultimately had to download a McAfee removal tool (from McAfee) to clean it off my computer.Good to know, didn't know they had a tool, I've never been able to delete it.

I had a really difficult time cleaning McAfee off my computer. Let me know if you have trouble and I'll try to remember all the things I tried. Ultimately, it took several downloads of the removal app...and I hope (hope) I have been successful.

Nope, never used it on any of my Mac computers, thankfully. A long time ago I got a phone call from some asian guy who said they detected a problem with the Microsoft OS on my computer. I yelled the loudest I could into the phone: "What the hell are you calling me for, I don't own a Microsoft product, and never will!! Next thing I heard was "click." Never got another one of those.

Bloatware. If all you need is Anti-V, there are better alternatives.

Windows 10. Just started recently. Currently unable to connect to either webcam or printer. I’m irritated.

Lots of good advice in this thread thusfar to resolve your issue. Have any worked? Have any been tried?
