I can understand that to an extent. I always practice situational awareness, but it’s just based upon where I go. External circumstances don’t really factor in unless highly specific.

Black males are always the main concern where I live. Always will be.
I’m muscular and maintain appearance, so many think I’m a cop.(same Veteran haircut since 2001)

We used to go to Orlando to party when we left Patrick AFB.

As for the Russian event, there seems multiple oddities from multiple directions.
Committing terror for money
Cops not showing up
Heading to Ukraine
Being taken alive

The Russians will punish whomever they deem guilty.
Our government would do the same.

There is a contradiction in the best response to the two threats. Avoiding crowds is a good anti-terror strategy, but that tends to expose one to ordinary criminality and panhandling. I therefore prefer to do shopping errands early in the day, before crowds and before the usual villains have roused themselves to do mischief.

I do the same. It takes until afternoon for the malt liquor and weed to wear off.

A Walmart that I often go to has a heavily black workforce — and they protect it and the parking lot with a vigilance like the US Cavalry in Fort Apache. They and the many older black customers are invariably pleasant to me. And, back to my prior point about terrorism, my brother believes that he saw Omar Mateen, the Pulse nightclub shooter, coming out of that Walmart shortly before the attack.

Yes they would. They have a record of doing that.

And it is difficult to understand why it took the police more than an hour to respond when they are right across the street from the concert hall.
