It’ll backfire AND Florida and Texas will receive a whole bunch of new Financial Service Businesses... (among others like banks, insurance companies, builders etc) New York City will deserve the full hellhole status they aspire to...eff ‘em.
There is absolutely no reason for ‘Wall Street’ or ‘Madison Avenue’ or the Financial District to be in New York any more.
All business can be done online from anywhere, even the backwoods of Colorado if necessary. New York City has outlived its usefulness and is an anachronism.
All those companies and banks could and should relocate ASAP, for their own safety and they would save tons of money and sleep.
