In theory I agree but as a practical matter I see that as a slippery slope of no return. Who are the arbiters of who can run for office? That puts too much power in too few hands.

I would say the simple words of the Preamble should be the arbiter. Are you in for our posterity or not? If you are in, then you will not, for example, be found advocating abortion.
